TOD:

The Adventures of Robin Hood.

TOD (modern):

National Treasure.

But National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets doesn't work for me.  It just doesn't.  Too paint by numbers.

Interesting casting idea now flitting through my brain:

Errol Flynn as Carlotta Campion!

If only he were still here!

That could be a fun variation on our "let's recast a movie or show" game:  Reverse Gender Casting!  Boys in the girls parts, girls as the boys!

Kristin Chenoweth as J. Pierpont Finch.  Think about it!

Tuesday morning greetings!  Of the 4 people who slept in our house last night, I'm the only who didn't have to be someplace this morning.  How unusual is that?

Since Rob has no classes on Tuesdays and Mary Linda doesn't have one until 10, they stayed here and left for Cincinnati about 8:30.  Richard is off to teach his usual Tuesday morning Bible study at a nearby church and I'm just puttering on the last of my 4-days-off-in-a-row.  Later this afternoon, Richard and I will go see the Indiana Jones movie and to Barnes & Noble for the new South Pacific recording.

Good morning!

An OK cool morning, but today will be the warmest day yet in 2008, and I can feel it rapidly approaching. I won't have the house opened up for much longer. But the next two days promise a cooling down, so that will be nice.

I set out for Wal-Mart today and bought a bunch of stuff I really needed. Thanks to all who filled me in on SUnday about its being open then, but by the time I read the posts, it was too late to go.

Anyway, all stocked up again with some essentials.

We finally gave in and turned on our air conditioning this morning.  Not that the temperature is so high, but it's so humid that you couldn't scoot your chair away from our kitchen table  :P

I did record THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN last night and hope to watch a little of it so I can decide if I want to record tonight's conclusion.

Other than an NCIS rerun, I'll be watching DVDs today and tonight for the most part.

I should try to get more sleeping in (my day off) so that I can con talk der B into running errands later.  Maybe a walk into and about town, if he's up to it.

DR Matt:

Yes, the new Andromeda is slower.

It's also much more cynical about government.  And there's more iffy sci-fi involved.

But it's nice to hear Daniel Dae Kim speaking perfect English.  And he, Benjamin Bratt, and Rick Schroder are all nice to look at.

Eric MacCormack plays a jerk/journalist.  Or is that redundant?

Druxy, I don't mean that kind of epic - I mean the Indiana Jones kind of epic adventure yarn.  MattH's list is a perfect example.

I went to Walmart yesterday also.  To get the flowers for my garden.  It was sort of confusing because they had different sized containers of impatiens (what i was buying) all mixed together (at different prices).

The containers fit inside the same bigger container. So it was very hard to see right away which was which (one size container was 24 flowers for $5.27 and the other was 6 for $2.27).

Catching up very slowly but surely.

To George and TCB and others who sent vibes, here's the news on the health situation for our leading man's father:  Brian's  father was released from the hospital and thankfully even was able to come to two of the performances, as well as the closing day party, although he clearly had to take it easy.

Went to get markers for the Pet Sematery today, but of course there were none, so maybe I can find some tomorrow.  Would like to get a few in there before sister Molly arrives from Seattle on Thursday.

WOW....I have never heard of DR ARNOLDBROCKMAN's song of the day....interesting.

BK i wonder if there were so many people at the movie you went to yesterday because of what movie it was.   A movie that grosses more than $100M on that weekend is sure to be full!
