Good Afternoon!

Well, I believe I'm now caught up on my own paperwork.  I was looking at my calendar and realized that I had not yet done my invoices for a few days of work that I had before I went to L.A.  Oops!  But as of five minutes ago, faxes have been faxed, PDFs have been e-mailed, and phone calls have been confirmed.  -Or something like that.

And I know that he has been Errant & Truant for far too long, but I just heard from DR Jason, and even though he didn't ask for them, I'm sure some of those patented HHW Vibes would be appreciated: He and his roommate just discovered bed bugs in their apartment last night.  :-\

However, on the bright side, Jason finally got some new headshots taken - Just like a real actor!  ;)

*And, I have to say, he looks good.  Practically hot in some of them.

I'm waiting for electricians - they've never been on time yet, so I guess today won't be any different.

I wonder if SHE GODS OF SHARK REEF would fit in with todays TOD?

It was filmed on location in Hawaii, so that in itself counts as epic...at least for Roger Corman.

The electricians won't be here until after lunch, whatever that means.  And the Handy Man himself, who actually has to do the re-wiring won't be here until four.   And, although it's not for sure, they may have to turn off all the power in the house.  That will not make me happy, that much I can tell you.

Well, the heat did arrive, but not severely enough to make me turn on the AC. I have a floor fan in my office right now blowing fairly cool air on me, so it's more than bearable.

Because lunch was early, I got back in plenty of time to watch a bunch of ODD COUPLE episodes. Yep, the best one on disc one was "The New Car" which is simply a scream with John Byner as a sarcastic parking garage owner, and dozens of hilarious one liners.

I also got to watch the first two episodes on Disc 2 (a total of eight episodes so far today). This was the one where Felix recounted Oscar and Blanche's wedding on a military post. SOme funny stuff, and this was Brett Somers' second episode during this fourth season (she only appeared once during the entirety of season three).

Janis Hansen who plays Gloria Unger has also made several appearances so far this season. She always plays very well opposite Tony Randall.

The last episode I watched this afternoon is the famous one with Jaye P. Morgan as the guest star dating Oscar and singing Felix's new hit song "Happy and Peppy and Bursting with Love." Felix also wants her to make a hit oout of his last big smash: "Let's Hit Hitler Where He Lives."

Another complete winner! Three of the season's best episodes all in a row.

I did have time to skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS, but no Noah or Luke. They weren't in the previews either.

Well, having had multiple episodes featuring them last week and the week before, I was heartened that maybe their story would start receiving some major attention every week. Alas, I hope this doesn't mean we're going to be back to one episode per week with them.

Going to be writing about Felix and Oscar for a bit, and then I'll head down first to clean the living room (didn't get to it this morning since I went to Wal-Mart) and then back to the evening's TV diversions.

I have returned from Miami University. I spent about 90 minutes with the head of Special Collections learning the state of 43 cartons and meetiong all of her staff.  The books have all been catalogued and divided into two shelves: the book already in the MU card catalogue and books they do not have. While I was there, a nice young lady was working on the 150+ Broadway show vocal selections I shipped, and I understand that the Music Library will be brought in to examine the manuscripts and scores.

After that, I met the chairwoman of the Theatre Dept and she and I and an instructor/designer in the dept had a wonderful lunch. I got back to Randy's and found Jo feeling better. I helped her with a problem - they've got a mouse invasion going on - and she pulled one helluvan ugly rodent carcass from under the refrigerator.

On a side note, on my way to Miami U, I stopped at a supermarket to buy flowers for the ladies I was visiting. As I was backing my car out of its parking space, Macbeth pulled in next to me. My first reaction was, is he following me? He was there getting meds for Lady M who was undergoing a colonoscopy; I wanted to ask if it was to remove her head, but I behaved. Conversation was cordial and distant.

Not Brasil '66's Janis Hansen, as Janis herself told me.   ;D

Of course, as soon the Pink Carpet (scattered with Swarovski crystals!) has been set up for the premiere of "Sex & The City" at Radio City Music Hall, the storms will be moving in momentarily.
