Another one featured John Ritter as a hippie street performer who stumbles on a briefcase with $250,000 in it.

It belonged to guest star Vic Morrow who plays, believe it or not in this 1971 drama, a gay man who embezzled the money from his firm, left the wife he's loathed his entire life, and puts the make on Ritter (who wasn't interested). Ritter uses lots of euphemisms for gay in describing Morrow: lavender, fairy, etc.

Oh good, I think the Elle woods show is repeated at 11.

Yes.  Yes, it is.

*And it will be interesting to see what kind of reaction there is to one or two of the finalists.  -At least in regards to their "pedigree".

Next, I watched BONES since it was the third season premiere episode which I couldn't remember much about. It really set up at this early date the season finale which, at the time of first viewing, we knew nothing about.

I received in the mail early this evening two discs which had been farmed out from Paramount to Legend Films. The first, which I watched tonight, was HITLER: THE LAST TEN DAYS with Alec Guiness as Hitler.

Some interesting scenes, and Guiness gets to rave like a madman as Hitler, but I didn't find it half as entertaining as the old CBS TV special called THE BUNKER which featured Anthony Hopkins in an Emmy-winning performance as Hitler.

Lots of famous faces in this movie, though: Diane Cilento, Simon Ward, Adolfo Celli, etc.

Anyway, it goes on sale tomorrow, so I'll be writing it up tonight.

Hmm... I'm actually sort of tempted to head down the Virgin Megastore in a few minutes in order to get the OCR of In The Heights when they put it on the shelves after midnight.  Hmm...

They make it seem all about that last note, but aren't a million people singing along with that note in the actual show?

Nope.  It's only her.  With a lot of reverb.  However, there is now an "alternative" ending where she can take a breath in the middle of the note.

I thought all the girls were power-singing "ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah" throughout the note, concealing up any issues on that note.  Or at least it seemed that way the last time I saw the show live.

OMIGOD!  I do!  ;)

*And sort of along the lines of your "Next Food Network Star" discussion yesterday, I'm sort of surprised that more of the girls did not already have the song memorized.  -Especially since is all after the regional auditions, and initial pre-screens.  ???

Yes, I was amazed by that. Oh Puhleese, I even know that song by heart. If they'ver REALLY always wanted to be Elle, they would know every word on the CD by heart

I pre-ordered it. I sort of forgot about it.  Cool.

The ensemble is singing backup during the held note, but they are doubling the orchestra too.  They sing in shorter phrases, and get to take a breath each measure.

*And some of the women in the ensemble are singing crazy-high at the end of that song.

This is just a quick note as it is 9:30 P.M. Pacific Time and I'm heading to bed  but wanted to say thank you for making feel so welcome to Everyone!!  And all the tips that have been given me!  Jose, you are a wealth of information and so was Ginny!  Great advise, Cranberry Deli will keep it in mind as well!  I've written everything down and will refer to them often.  I'll be back to visit tomorrow when work is a little slow.
