Well, you've read the notes, the notes had happy talk, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently having happy moo.

Listening to Ye Olde iPod - playing endless Billy Goldenberg scores (I was given about twenty CDs' worth of his TV music) - currently playing, his score for the pilot of Night Gallery.

Also, if you want an absolutely stunning CD listen, do pick up Urubu by Antonio Carlos Jobim, with orchestrations by Claus Ogerman - what a CD!  Absolutely brilliant - especially the track Saudade do Brasil.  Stunning symphonic writing with female choir.

Speaking of Antonio Carlos Jobim, I can't remember what channel it was on, but a couple of weeks ago, there was a TV special from 1968, "A Man and His Music +Ella +Jobim" starring Frank Sinatra.  I'd heard recordings of Jobim, but I'd never seen him on TV.  It was a very good hour-long concert.  I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Frank's singing on this and both Ella and Jobim were, of course, very good, also. :)

Who has time to TOD?

I've got a conference call to attend today at work, an inventory next week, and I'm still learning how to tread water.

On the other hand, the eating has been pretty good around here of late.  Tuesday we supped on roast chicken breasts and risotto.  Wednesday we dined on sweet and sour pork and fried rice.  Last night, braised short beef ribs and fingerling potatoes had us salivating.

I don't know what I'll be doing for tonight's repast, but Saturday we'll be attending the joint birthday party of the grandlads, and der Brucer's daughter will be cooking.

Which means that whatever I cook tonight had better be fantastic, just in order to tide us over until Sunday.

It's not as funny as it sounds.  Dang it.   :P

And tonight, on Doctor Who, David, Catherine and Freema (aka the Doctor, Donna and Martha) will be joined by Georgia Moffett as Jenny, in a tale entitled "The Doctor's Daughter".

As it happens, Ms. Moffett is the real life daughter of Peter Davison, who was the fifth actor to play the Doctor.  So she really is the Doctor's Daughter!

(And, rumour has it, Ms. Moffett is currently dating Mr. Tennant (aka David), which somehow has an incestuous ring to it.  My, my, my!)

DR MBARNUM is hobknobbing with all the SEE-celebrities in Memphis including the QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE!  And Gregory from ROBOT MONSTER...oh my....

TOD:

DVD - Born Reckless with Miss Mamie Van Doren looking remarkably fit.  It's always nice to see a performer who knows what the public expects of her....and isn't shy about it.

CD:  Studio recording of SINGIN' IN THE RAIN

FOOTLOOSE opened with 178 people in the house....190 of 198 tickets sold.  It was a bit crazy people kept wanting to buy season tickets which is difficult when you are trying to sell SINGLE tickets and handle the will call window AND the telephone.....but we made it....and some $$$.

Quite right.  They instead should have shown the "musicians in the put."  ;)
