Jennifer - I didn't have a copy of the music, and even if I did, it would only have been the piano part, not the charts for the band.  It's actually incomprehensible and he knew it.  He knew he had to teach right up until the sound check.  He knew he had the gig.  How do you leave the music at home (not to mention all the chords for his keyboard, which we were using for keyboard two)?

Oh don't get me wrong.  I get that what he did is not right.  I just like the motto that the only person you can count on is yourself. So if you have what you need you don't have to worry if everyone else is a screw-up!

I finshed watching the extended interviews on the first disc of AMERICAN GANGSTERS. These interviews lasted a lot longer than I was ecpecting. Over thirty minutes for each of three bonus interviews from discs one and two.

As for the three new episodes I watched this evening, the first had to do with Frank Lucas whose criminal empire was recently represented in the Denzel Washington movie AMERICAN GANGSTER.

Next came Felix Mitchell who became Oakland's first major heroin mobster. I knew nothing about him until I watched this documentary.

And this was followed by Jeff Fort and his Blackstone Rangers in Chicago. Amazing how these folks had so much charisma and inspired so many followers. If only they had put that kind of leadership to good aims instead of bad. [sigh]

I have three more episodes of the series (they last about 40 minutes each) and one more in depth-interview before I'm finished with the set.

I did see the last ten minutes or so of PASSWORD. Tony Hawk seemed to be a pretty good player, but they seem to give up on giving clues more quickly than I would.

LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT had a very absorbing episode with Goren undercover and an ominous ending that promises problems ahead. Oh, dear.

IN PLAIN SIGHT. I just find the mother-sister character storyline an irritating intrusion into the show.

The main plot was interesting enough to hold my attention, but the show really doesn't have the slick cool of BURN NOTICE nor the humor nor well thought out puzzles of THE CLOSER.

I'm going to watch one more episode and then I'll likely be done with it.

In the last round they are limited to 3 clues. Not sure if there is a limit in the early rounds

I got a little work done tonight.  I also dyed my hair again.  I went for a lighter shade of blonde since my avatar shows what medium blonde looks like.  Well, this is a little lighter but still has a lot of red in it.   I like it, but it sure isn't blonde.

DR Cilla, I know what it is likes with those all day headaches...gotta love the hormones, right?  I hope you are feeling better, hon...***positive vibes to you too***  I think you're hair looks fantastic in the pic but I can kind of picture you with it a little lighter.  I bet it looks fab!  I'll have to get my pic on here in the next couple of days.  Sis has gotta help me with that part.

FOOD NETWORK STAR ELIMINATION THOUGHT

No real spoilers here, but just in case, i left some space :)   - I must say the little bit of drama on Food Network Star was most entertaining and exciting.  Not happy with how it was dealt with in the final cut, though.

I know that. They aren't limited in the early rounds but seem to give up on words more quickly than I would expect.

SAVED is a musical based on the film SAVED! of a few years ago.  (That's not a typo, the musical doesn't use the exclamation point in its advertising.)

It is NOT based on the TNT series about ambulance drivers.

Although that could make for an interesting musical, a la COP ROCK.
