Ah... It's from Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever.  Miss Byrd is a real estate secretary who sometimes shows more than just the properties she's selling.  At least in her secret fantasy life.  ;)

In the original staging, the song was performed in a rolling desk chair.

New avatar!  Last night, I went to a Seattle Storm women's basketball game with my niece, my sister and her boyfriend.  My niece has two season tickets and my co-worker Carole gave me two tickets that she couldn't use...and they were for a suite!  We had food and cheesecake and a great view of the game!!  There were seven other people (we had no idea who they are) in the suite.  Our hostess Carla took these pictures.  My card reader with the pictures that Hilary (my niece) and I took doesn't work. :P Anyway, here I am with Hilary, and it's the original source of my new avatar:

There is a big hue and cry over at ATC because apparently Mr. Sondheim's Lifetime Achievement Award on Sunday is going to be presented in the Pre-Show, off the broadcast.     :-\

Remember that horrendous tribute to Hal Prince a few years ago with the celebrity-lookalike costume show?    :P

Well, I have some sort of bad news, and some pretty good news...

The sort of bad news: I have to be up early on Sunday morning.  -Remember, anything before 10:30am is early for me.

The pretty good news: I have to get up early because I'll be going to the dress rehearsal for The Tonys!  :)

HOO and RAY!

*And since they run through all the production numbers, I'll be able to see exactly what doesn't make the broadcast - at least in regards to the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Sondheim.  However... From what I recall, due to logistics - and union arrangements - there are usually no musical numbers during the pre-Broadcast portion of the show, so... ???
