The Oregonian, in a laughable attempt to refashion its image as hip and happenin' has renamed the "Living" section "How We Live." I think I will write them a letter asking them to rename the Obituaries to "Now You're Dead!" (with the exclamation mark).

I'll be interested to hear thoughts on The Happening. You can't go one block without seeing some huge billboard for it, but all I think of when I see the title is the Faye Dunaway hippie comedy from the late 60s.

I haven't seen a hard copy of the new OZ magazine yet (it's a very slick, glossy one) but the cover story is on documentaries,, and this is the feature for which I was being interviewed. (I've edited for VanDerKloot and Gayla Jamison for many years, so it's neat that we're all in there together.) The story is in the current online issue as well, and my mention is on pg. 25. Of course, I wish they had printed what I actually said, but at least it's closer than usual.
