I began my afternoon of viewing with last night's THE A-LIST AWARDS on Bravo. Truly one of THE gay-centric award shows ever. Really enjoyed it.

And Lance Bass is looking mighty fine at the moment!

I buy the CD, JRand...once I become more familiar with ITunes that may change. I did buy two Indian pop albums off of ITunes and downloaded them, but only because I could not find the actual CDs to buy anywhere.

Crazy, isn't it? I don't remember being so hot when I was little, and I know there were days in the 90's......and we didn't have air conditioning anyplace except the movies and a few stores.

Next I watched DRILLBIT TAYLOR.

Forgettable is probably the kindest thing I can say about this "comedy." I cringe when any movie is about high school bullies, and this one lets the bullies pull the wool over everyone's eyes for far too long. In this film, all adults are stupid, blind, indifferent, or unkind. I just found it so inanely simplistic. But, the worst thing is, it's not funny. At all. I didn't laugh once.

One cute moment: the movie is about three nerdy freshmen who hire a bodyguard to protect them at school. At one point, they're interviewing potential bodyguards when who shows up to interview but Adam Baldwin who made his first big splash in movies in MY BODYGUARD (1980) playing a young tough guy hired by a nerdy kid at school to protect him.

I watched a bunch of the bonus features on the disc: deleted scenes, a montage of line ad-libs that didn't make the film, gag reel, a conversation on the phone between the film's two writers, etc.

Tonight, I still have about 5 more bonus featurettes plus the audio commentary. Should take another one to two hours, but I should have time to watch HUSH, HUSH SWEET CHARLOTTE before my evening internet surf.

I saw that opera, and one recording's enough. It's one of my least favorite Britten works.

Listening to Jerry Goldmsith's score to The Reincarnation Of Peter Proud - he was just getting into using electronics and it's not pretty. However, when there's music sans the electronics it's cherce.
