Speaking of Baldwins, Daniel Baldwin is a guest star of the 4th episode of this season's CLOSER. He's a pretty intense dude. And he sounds just like Alec!

I'll be interested to hear thoughts on The Happening.  You can't go one block without seeing some huge billboard for it, but all I think of when I see the title is the Faye Dunaway hippie comedy from the late 60s.
You have billboards?   :o

(Well, to be honest, we have what look like billboards, but they are really permanent signs for various local businesses, so we get nothing about movies on them.  Not really the same thing at all.  Nothing trendy about them in the least.

Really!)

Good Afternoon!

Well, I'm back for a post-movie break - and also to get my MoMA membership card from my other wallet.

I did go see "The Happening"....Thankfully, I only spent $6.00, so...

From this, I gather that your first wallet contains your fake senior citizen ID.

Amazing how that can actually fool people.

DR JRand57, I much prefer the physical CD.  I have downloaded on occasion, when a CD was not available, for example, with Simon's The Cape Man.

Walt Disney Cruise Lines will be offering another on-board Musical Theatre Workshop for their performers in July, and guess who just got the call to accompany them?!?!?

:) :D :) :D :)

Your mentor, Sir Elton John?

Just a wild guess.   ::)

I see the dreadful Victoria Clark is in the credits.

Maybe she sings herself to death!

Speaking of MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST, an interview with Kathy Griffin I read the other day intimated that this may be the last season for it. She says making the show is exhausting with her busy schedule, so the season we're watching now may be it. I hope not, and maybe it's a ploy to get more money, but that's what she said in the piece I read.

OK, writing done for the moment. I'm heading down now to finish up with DRILLBIT TAYLOR and then move on to something more to my liking.

Salmonella, salmonella
All I hear is salmonella...
Or, perhaps...

Salmonella... Salmonella...
I see heaven when I see thee, Salmonella,
And thy name is like a prayer
An angel whispers... Salmonella... Salmonella!

Well, maybe not.   :P

TOD:

Book: Finding Betty Crocker: The secret life of America's First Lady of Food, by Susan Marks.  It's kind of a biography.

CD Player: Diva by Diva, with Judy Kaye.  If Finding Betty Crocker were to be made into a musical, Ms. Kaye would be great in the lead!

DVD Player: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.  I'm re-watching it in segments, over several nights, sort of like a Dickens novel.  What with my work schedule, watching a motion picture entertainment all in one gulp is too time consuming.

Movie: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom and the Glory of the Crystal Skull.  Yesterday, really.  Der Brucer thought it would be a good way to relax after the audit.  And it was.  And I liked the way it started, with the usual visual pun on the Paramount logo fading into the film's first shot, something that der B missed.
