All it takes is money, right?

CONGRATULATIONS to DR Ron Pulliam on winning his auctions!!  :D

Thanks!  It was fun!  It was exhilarating!  And now it's terribly anti-climactic!

They all are, for some reason.

But when I get those suckers in hand, I'm gonna be like a kid in a candy shop!

Well, I may not be able to stay up long enough to find out if this "burning" thing works....

The process has been going for 30 minutes and is only 21% complete.  Way too slow for my patience level.

But if it works, DR George will be getting an extra special bonus!  :D

:o

This afternoon I took Sherlock to the vet to check out “something” on his foot.  It wasn’t at all what we expected.  The vet said it might be a foxtail & the only way to know is to go in and look.  Even then it might not be found.

Since we had given him an afternoon snack the surgery could not be done this afternoon.  Well, it could if we were willing to give him morphine to make him throw up.  Our plan had been to give him a much needed shower on Saturday, instead Keith did so within minutes of our returning home.  Boy was he dirty!  I’m glad we opted not to make him sick before surgery.

The foot will be bandaged & must be kept dry.  The vet suggested I go to the Outdoor Store in town & get a “dry” pouch large enough to fit over Sherlock’s paw.  I hope I can find one.

A certain piano bench guy has just re-introduced me to the talent of Ben Folds.  I had only a passing knowledge of Mr Folds when he was Over The Hedge.

Over the hill and over the hedge.  Well I do live in a semi-rural area.

I like Ben Folds.

Even more, I like the songs of my friend Matthew Brookshire. I have just returned from his 75-minute set at the Caffe Vivaldi on Jones Street. Great band of 4, with my friend Curtis on piano and Erika on fiddle, and a wonderful backup singer, Delia. It was a wonderful set of songs.

The good thing about eBay and movie memorabilia is that seventy percent of these creeps who are upping the bids are dealers - and they ALWAYS drop out when the price reaches a place where they can't triple their money.  There's no question that gtposters is a dealer.

There is ash falling from the fire that is 30 or so miles away.

The longest without eating?

When I was in the hospital after I had my  gall bladder removed.  I didn't eat anything for the better part of a week.

When you go without food, there is no better part of a week.

Good Evening!

Well... I went for a walk - 5.25 miles! - and now I'm watching "Penn & Teller's Bullsh*t" where their "favorite doctor" is currently blowing into a kazoo.  ;D

OK, I'm outta here.  Tomorrow morning is my next appointment with the foot surgeon.  I hope this one turns out better than last Friday's.

I also have to have another blood test tomorrow, because I flunked today's.  That INR that's supposed to be between 2 & 3?  Mine today was 4.3 - does that mean my blood's too thin?  I was told to take no meds today.

We have to get both of those appointments out of the way in time for Richard to deposit me back here at home and then go to a retirement luncheon at one of my favorite Cincinnati restaurants, The Grande Finale.  Maybe he'll bring me some Chocolate Cordial Pie.

Oh, no, now even Sherlock is having foot problems!  Vibes to him.  And where can I get a "dry pouch" for when I take a shower?

Thanks, DR Jane!  I'm a little worried that my foot is going to hurt more after tomorrow's appointment than it does now.  We shall see.
