It's earlier than usual, but I think I'll head down and put myself to bed.

Good night!

I think the longest I've gone without sleep is probably in the neighborhood of 48 hours.  It was while I was in college and I had a bad example living down the hall.  We had our classic "Scotch-Coffee and Jam" with guitars two nights in a row one weekend and I can never sleep during the day....it was a long weekend.

Longest without food?  5 days.. no medical reason, simply by choice, I needed to shrink my stomach before I started a diet and lost... about 60 lbs over four months...   And i kept it off for 4 months!   *ahem* before gaining it back. ;D

Good evening!

I like Ben Folds, too. Favorite song  discovery this evening is "Wait For Me Baby" by Eldridge Holmes. After looking him up, I learned that he was a protogé of one of my favorites, Allen Toussaint. I had read that Toussaint had lost his house during Katrina. What I didn't know was that he had been living in NY since then, and plays a Sunday brunch at Joe's Pub in NY. Part of the profits go to Katrina relief efforts.

Dang! Wish I'd known he was playing there when we were in NY in Jan...that would be a must-see!

Vixmom, I am so inspired by your impressive weight loss! Did you follow any diet in particular?

And were you really going to go to the gym at 5 in the morning?

Thank you for the welcome!  I very much appreciate it.

I will be sure and tell Samantha hello.  Right now she's in Minneapolis waiting at a friend's house for the early morning flight to Sarasota, FL.

TOD: 48 hours straight, I prepared a temp mix for a film called THE ANNIHILATORS. It was one of the worst movies I've ever worked on, so of course it was the most fun, too!

After the screening, the other editors and I went out for a drink. Note to self: Do not drink when you are that tired.

I only had about half a beer, but I had no memory of driving home. Pretty scary.

Food-wise, when was in college I had my tonsils out and didn't eat much for a week. I lost so much weight that when I went back to school. I tried to donate blood and for the first and only time, I didn't weigh enough to be able to donate. I never thought I'd ever hear those words in my life!

I did go to the gym this morning I got there around 5;30 and worked out until about 7 then toodled home showered and got ready for work

since we only have one working car at the moment (and it's not mine) my regular routine is abit off... since I joined the gym in April I have been droppingthe Vixter at school at 7  gym  from  7;15 to 8 then
home for a shower and off to work, tehn I do an hour at teh gym on Saturdays.  For the past 2 weeks I only made it in on Saturday since I was awake this AM and could not go back to sleep I figured may as well make belonging to a 24 hour gym woth it!
