I just saw that the second season of PSYCH comes out on DVD next week. I had been looking for announcements for a long time and had seen none, so this is the first I had read about it.

I tried to do a page dance and have been informed that the upload folder is full.

Thanks!

I was walking (too slow to be considered "hiking,") and I felt a SNAP in my ankle. Then it felt better. :)  I hope it stays this way.

It's on the way for me to review as I type.  I had a choice between this and EUREKA, and I'm kind of wishing I had taken EUREKA.  ;)

Last night I watched Diane Keaton's HEAVEN, which I had to review.  It really was a very pleasant and quirky 80 or so minutes.  I highly recommend it, in DVDTalk vernacular.  Some really hilarious interviews intermixed with some patently weird film clips.  Or maybe that's vice versa.  :)

There was a very sad obituary in the paper this morning--a little boy who had gone to pre-school with Gabe, who had been plagued by a recurrent brain tumor, has died.  His parents were so cool back then, I don't think I could have handled the stress.  Finn had already had several surgeries even at that young age.  We lost track of them after "real" school started, but I was still shocked to see this this morning.

DR TCB asked me a question yesterday re: nutrisystem

And who told me it looks delicious.

I think i mentioned that they sell it here on The Shopping Channel.

So i've seen the meals as they come. And then prepared.

And they really do look good.

That is why i said that i just cannot believe that they come in little unrefrigerated cardboard containers that you microwave.

What i saw looked like a chef prepared a nice gourmet meal.

I'm envious. You get PSYCH and I get JAKE AND THE FATMAN. No question which one *I'd* rather watch and write about.

Well, I'm having lunch with friends today instead of tomorrow (folks starting their July 4th vacations early).

So, I need to head down now to clean up for that.

On tv for me tonight:

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE

And the CANADIAN IDOL results show.

Btw, on the Canadian version of HOW DO YOU SOLVE A PROBLEM LIKE MARIA there was big trouble this week.

Obviously people have no idea how to vote.

There is this one kid who looks like 15 and she is like 5 feet tall. She is sweet. But i just don't see maria at all. And she has never been in the bottom.  There is another girl, who is a very good performer. But on tv she comes across as overweight. And her face looks really old. Now if you take off the 15 tv pounds, i'm not sure how big she would be. Maybe size 14. But her whole vibe just does not seem maria to me. Yet she has not been in the bottom at all and the judges adore her.

ALW's guy simon almost had a coronary though on monday's results show. His 2 favs were in the bottom 2. It was so stupid. This one girl allie (who got sent home) had never been my fav. But the night before she had done amazing. And i could finally see her as maria.  And my current fav jayme, was also in the B2. Simon freaked out. Didn't know what to do. But sent allie home.

Next week thankfully is broadway week. so hopefully we will get to see something interesting.

A lot of the girls are talented. But are so far from maria i just don't get why they the top 10!

I wondere how many other past cases involcing those officers will now be questioned?

Hopefully, ALL of them.  And a firing should ensue, as well, prior to prosecution for violating public trust, breaking ethical codes and bearing false witness against a citizen they were honor-bound to protect.

DR DakotaCelt re: diet tips and using artificial sweetners.

I would love to use honey. But it has an enormous amount of carbs. :(

Started listening to ADRIFT IN MACAO this morning.  Funny lyrics, but methinks the bulk of the Rodgers gene pool swam over to the Guettel side of things.  :)

I watched a movie on HBO last night called "Gray Matters".   It was quirky and entertaining.  I won't want to see it again.

But there was this one neat scene in which the two female leads discover they share a passion for the movie "Till the Clouds Roll By"....and then they jump up and dance the identical dance being danced on screen by Lucille Bremer and the very clunky Van Johnson.

It was cute.

"America's Got Talent" was almost a washout last night, but a couple of acts put it over the top at the end of the second hour (which is where they always manage to put the best ones).

One was a 24-year-old girl who sang and played guitar.  She reminded me of Laura Nyro.

The other was a small-for-his-age 9-year-old who had been, until age 3, diagnosed as autistic. It was music that seemed to break him out of his shell.  He stood on stage and sang "Ben"...and he was wonderful.

She reminded me of Laura Nyro.

Why, was she walking David Geffen around on a leash?  (A very obscure Laura Nyro reference).   ;D

RE: The Little Girl Who Lived Down The Lane Score.

The film is a guilty pleasure, but people who I recommend the film to do not hold the same opinion.

As for the music score I don't remember much about it except for the end title sequence where you see Ms. Foster staring ahead looking at the camera and in the fireplace a most excellent fire burning behind her. It made it captivating that one wants to watch all the credits to the end.

SO BK

Have you ever seen The Little Girl Who Lived Down the Lane aka La Petite fille au bout du chemin?

I saw it the day it opened and really liked it, and I liked it just as much when I ran the DVD when it came out.
