Back from an uneventful trip to the medical lab.  DS Rob and his DGF (dear girlfriend) are here for a visit on their way to Michigan.

I'm envious. You get PSYCH and I get JAKE AND THE FATMAN. No question which one *I'd* rather watch and write about.

Well, MattH, you do get to look at Joe Penny, and that ain't a bad way to spend 45 minutes!

Well here are a few photos from ALL MY SONS....not everyone is in costume, and I am NOT a good photographer but....here they are.  The new photos are mixed in with the ones from before.

I like my set, anyway.   8)

I just saw that the second season of PSYCH comes out on DVD next week. I had been looking for announcements for a long time and had seen none, so this is the first I had read about it.

I love this show!  Thanks for posting the info. :D

Actually I'm in the northern plains which is in the middle of the country and to the west of the mid west but to the east of the west. Go figure that one

For DR Jose and any other pizza lovers:
http://slice.seriouseats.com/jvpizza/

This guy has been serving pizza out of his house and is getting ready to open his own restaurant...less than a mile from our house! I'm sure with all the self-promotion and confidence he seems to have, it should do well!

He rates a lot of the pizza places in the northeast---some I've tried out and others I recall hearing about from DR Jose.

Back from a few morning errands and am now trying to decide if today is a jogging day.  My legs are pretty sore, so I'm not sure.

It's fascinating to me that the media reports on every single penny raise for gas prices, but is curiously silent when prices actually drop - which they have at every gas station in my neighborhood - not by much - two cents - but dropped they have.

You could introduce this techinque in "Legally Blonde III: The Middle Years" as Elle takes Bruiser for his geriatric walk and develops a hobble that gets better after she invents the "ankle snap".

Well, DR Ron Pulliam ain't lyin'!  Driving north into downtown San Francisco from the airport, there are many a hill covered in bogs of fog from the fires.

The flight was uneventful; I was there early enough to change my seat for a bulkhead row with extra leg room.  :)

Actor Don S. Davis, a fine character actor, died of a massive heart attack on June 29, 2008.

Davis, age 65, was best known for his roles portraying military officers, most notable the Air Force general in "Twin Peaks" (he was a key figure in the "White Lodge" matter) and as General Hammond in "Stargate: SG-1".

Davis appeared in a vast number of movie and TV roles.

I, for one, will miss him.

An acquaintance of mine has posted an interview to youtube.com conducted by Jim Whaley, late emcee of "Cinema Showcase", a PBS syndicated show that originated out of Atlanta GA.  Jim was my best friend for 35 years until his untimely death in August 1992 (heart attack).  The reason for the interview was to promote "The Prince of Tides".  The 30-minute show included interviews with Nick Nolte and Kate Nelligan, but only the Streisand segment is on youtube.   The station that aired this interview altered the opening visuals to include its own call letters and background.  Normally, there were many film clips edited under the exciting "Theme from 'Airport" by Alfred Newman which was the show's signature opening.
