Finally back and done for the day. Saw Wall-E, about which a lot more in the notes. Interestingly, because of the long, long line for Indiana Jones an hour and twenty minutes before showtime, I got there ninety minutes ahead of time - nobody there at all, I was the only one. In fact, they opened the theater at two and it was me and three others who went in, one hour before show time. Most people didn't arrive until twenty minutes before the film began - with Indiana Jones all seats were gone and they even began the film twenty minutes early. They ended up with 2/3's of a house. I'm beginning the think that despite the reviews of the year, this film won't do as well as other Pixar films, at least if today is anything to go by. That, and the fact that unless I missed a whole series of postings, our usual first day seeing new films troupe hasn't bothered with Wall-E (I hope I'm proven wrong about it, and would love to read the posts if I am), certainly not as many as would normally be first to see something like this and report back. Briefly, I will say that it's an astonishing piece of work, virtually perfect with two very minor things that I wished were better (both having to do with music).
