OK - Well, I need to get ready to head down to Shubert Alley. I am meeting up with BK's close personal friend, Walter Willison, to attend Bernadette Peters' booksigning in conjunction with "Broadway Barks".  Fun, Fun, Fun.  Crazy, Crazy, Crazy!

Laters...

I wonder whose book she is signing?  :P

I forgot to wish bon voyage to Mr. Brockman. I was in Israel in 1985 and had a marvelous time. We were in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and took day trips to Masada and the Dead Sea and Jericho and Bethlehem. What a time we had, a nice Irish boy from Minnesota/New York pretending he was a Jew in Israel  ;D

The only difficulty was when we were leaving the country. My friend and I went through separate exit gates and the newly trained clerk mistook me for a bad man and was extremely rude and threatening. She called over her supervisor who looked at me asked me a question and waved me through. I hope the trainee was re-trained after that incident.

Remember in the words of Billy Crystal as Fernando, it's more important to look good than to feel good, and you look mahvelous

The closest I've gotten to Israel was the Journey to Jerusalem ride that was included in the special millenium village at Epcot, at the turn of the century, of course.

Journey to Jerusalem at Epcot used the same ride technique as the Hanna-Barbera ride at Universal, only you were an aerodynamic piece of Torah parchment flying through important events in israeli history.  Very effective, especially for a temporary Epcot ride.

We have not actually stayed at the beautiful Fairmont Springs Hotel, only walked through it.

Now it will always have a special place in our hearts as Bryan called us from there yesterday.  He and Kate were sitting on the terrace having drinks, enjoying a view of the beautiful Rockies.

They called us to announce their engagement!!!

Our new caller ID box works. I used the cell phone to call the land line and it showed up on the ID box. I guess there is an advantage to having a cell phone when you still have dial-up internet. You can call the land land from the cell phone and lo and behold the number shows up in the ID box as an incoming call. Hooray. Now we just need to move from dial-up to DSL. That may happen during Anthony's absence, or it could wait until he returns because it means a visit from the man from Verizon and Anthony won't be here to greet the phone man and take him out to the back yard to work on our phone box (no, that's not a euphemism)

DR JRand, glad you liked RACE! It was pretty good, wasn't it.

I think I might watch DHOOM: 2 this weekend, since I enjoyed DHOOM so much.

Thank you :)  We are still in shock.  I laughed & get excited every time I think about it.  We having been expecting just such an announcement from Craig, for a couple of years now-lol.  Bryan totally shocked us.

DR ELMORE leave your printer on and make sure there is plenty of paper in it, you may get a visit from some of the BABES IN TOYLAND ghosts you are writing about....they love the attention, you know.

DR MBARNUM....DHOOM 2 sounds like a great choice.

Thank you DR Ginny.  It may be awhile before I'm a Mother-In-Law, with them anyway.  While Craig hasn't officially announced his engagement I expect he will be the first to marry.  This will be interesting. :D

TOD - one of our most unusual lodging experiences was on a trip to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky.  We stayed at Cave Spring Farm Bed & Breakfast in their

SCHOOLHOUSE

It was quite cozy for the 3 of us and we didn't have that smothery feeling you can sometimes get staying in a B & B.
