Congrats, Jane & Keith.  If the wedding is in PDX, I know a fantastic band you can hire.  ;)

We have not actually stayed at the beautiful Fairmont Springs Hotel, only walked through it.

Now it will always have a special place in our hearts as Bryan called us from there yesterday.  He and Kate were sitting on the terrace having drinks, enjoying a view of the beautiful Rockies.

They called us to announce their engagement!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO DR JANE'S SON BRYAN AND HIS NEW FIANCEE!!

I finished watching the BURN NOTICE that I had started last night. Just loved the episode with Michael getting his brother's friend out of trouble.

I spent the remainder of the afternoon watching more RENO 911! episodes. SOme were very funny. One with Dangle having a horrible sunburn was PAINFUL.

That was a GREAT make-up job that looked very realistic.

The commentaries are really just talk-a-thons. Don't really have much to do with the episode at hand. Just a bunch of friends talking.

Well, I got Rik showered and back in bed!! I scrambled out this morning to buy a shower bench, shower mat, long hozed shower nozzle, lots of 'invalid taking a bath' stuff - she feels a world better. Her son and daughter in law came by while I was out - that was a treat for her, too. On the mend. She was very grateful for all your good wishes. She totally loves having lost fifteen pounds - in my opinion, that's a drastic weight loss regimen...

I'm now back from the NYPL and loaded with info on the 912 LADY OF THE SLIPPER events. I need a nap and some food.

For those interested in Big Brother 10 that starts tomorrow.

There are already some leaks. And you can see a video to get an idea who is in the house:

Let me get this straight - I leave at ten-thirty - we're on page five second to last post.  I come back at three-thirty and we're in the middle of page SIX?  This will not do, oh, no, this will not do.  There will be a bitch-slapping that will be heard round the world if we don't get some postin' goin' on.

The Hollywood Collector's Show may have run its course.  I said that last time, when heavyweights Peter Falk and Patty Duke were there.  This time there were no real heavyweights - one dealer described Friday's attendance as "a morgue."  Today there weren't many people there.  Several people, like Barry Pearl, my pal Annette Cardona, and the other Grease people at least had people around them and they said they were doing fine.  Druxy told me Bridget Hanley had done well yesterday, but there were hardly any people even walking up and down her row.  Other wonderful folks like Catherine Hicks sat at their table completely alone.

It may simply be time to cut it down to twice a year and really stock up on the celebs.  Even Celeste Holm had no line at all in the entire three hours I was there.
