DR Jose - thank you for sharing your wonderful yesterday with us.  The photos were smashing and the day sounds like a lot of fun.

You're most welcome, DR Ginny.  However, I have to say that regardless of whom I had the good fortune to run into yesterday, the true star of the day was the City of New York.  There just seemed to be lots of "GOOD" in the air to go along with the picture perfect weather conditions.  Everyone truly seemed to be smiling yesterday and enjoying and relishing all that the City has to offer.

Even as I was walking back across town from the York, the streets were still teeming with happy, happy people - many of whom were coming back from the free Bon Jovi concert in Central Park.  And with the baseball fans in town this weekend for the upcoming All-Star Game, all the fans are just Fans.  Not Yankees' fans of Mets' fans - just lovers of baseball, in general.

Thanks for your posted pictures last night, DR Jose. Always love pictures of Broadway and its stars. I wish you had taken one in tandem with Walter. I've mentioned here many times I saw him and loved him in both TWO BY TWO and GRAND HOTEL, and would love to have a picture of the two of you together.

You're welcome, DR MattH.

I did not take a pic of myself with Walter, however, I did take this picture:

...BIG BROTHER 10 (for those still watching). There is a gay contestant on the show in this cycle, and, of course, one of the other contestants on a CBS promo spouting the usual Bible-thumping hatred before the show even starts talking about how gays aren't going to heaven. How completely and totally tiresome.
I think they should at least include a health advisory warning:  EXCESSIVE REPETITIVE BIBLE THUMPING MAY CAUSE INJURY TO THE WRISTS!!!

They also had a number of cats and kittens up for adoptions in the mobile pet adoption trucks.  However, with all the potential new owners "browsing" it was a bit difficult to get a clear pic of them.  But they were there too.

It's a good thing der B and I are nowhere hear NYC - can you imagine us getting anywhere near Ms. Peters and not taking another two or three home with us?

Although the itch to foster again has been growing...

Time to get ready for work yet again.

Yesterday they asked me to stay an extra hour even before I'd clocked in.  Good thing they did, because at six (when I'd been scheduled to get off) we were completely swamped with customers.

Tuesday, I'll be wrangling carts instead of going to the Farmer's Market.  I'd let der B go to the market by himself, but there's no telling what he'd come home with.

Veggie wise, that is.  (Lordy, I was setting myself up for a euphemism alert that time, wasn't I?   ::))

I saw many, many people filling out adoption forms.  And there was one couple who were there to adopt another pet - after adopting a dog in each of the two previous years.  -They even brought their "alumni" back to the event to help them look for a new yard-mate.

Just had a thought, before I dash:

The film version of Mamma Mia = High School Musical for people with wrinkles.

Hello, everyone.

I haven't been able to keep up with the posts lately, so I'm rather out of the loop, but a BIG THANK YOU to JOSE for posting the photo of Walter Willison, whom I haven't seen since our Bluth Bros Theatre days in 1965. Walter may not remember me, but I remember him very well.

What are you doing reading this, DR CILLA LIZ....go get your roses!

LOL

I have roses!  I went in this morning and there was one guy buying two roses and another with a bouquet.  Good grief. The price is fabulous and people aren't buying?   Anyway, I got a dozen. The clerk told me that they do this sale every year. HyVee owns a flower distribution center so they do it once a year.  They have a whole cooler in the back full of them.

At that price, DR Cillaliz, you should splurge and get a dozen for the office, too!   :)

It is a beatiful summer Sunday here!  With a beautifully refreshing cool breeze blowing.

Zach's choke chain just broke during our recent walk, so I guess we'll be heading to the pet shop shortly.
