My approach is to tell people my computer can't handle the megabites, or whatever it is.  I know Keith is always complaining this stuff takes up too much space.

What if you miss an important email?

Cause I don't want any more email from that person and if there was anything important I don't want to hear if from her.  Plus it's someone trying to stir up the emotional crap from last week that I finally have out of my mind.  With one week before my murder trial, I'm not letting anyone distract me with petty jealousy.  I just don't need that in my life anymore and especially not when I have to be at the top of my game.

...Zach's choke chain just broke during our recent walk, so I guess we'll be heading to the pet shop shortly.
It's a good thing we know your husband is named Jayson and not Zach.  This kind of announcment could cause all sorts of confusion!

My favorite flowers....this hanging basket is even fuller now that it was when I shot this photo.

A fuller hanging basket.  Now THAT'S what I call a euphemism!

Oh, der Brucer you're just towing the same party line that's been towed for the last 100 years, which is why nothing ever changes.  I'm going to weep for the "small" profit margin, emphasis on the word profit, of billions of dollars?  That's some small profit margin - you believe what you want and I'll believe what I want.  The financial waste using people's tax dollars is appalling and all it would take to really effect change is two million people standing up and saying "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" and then refusing to pay taxes.  Want to know how fast things would change?  Instantly.
I am now trying to imagine our esteemed BK trying to buy the canned tuna and pasta he needed for his pasta salad at Gelson's without paying the sales tax.  I can see him leaving the store.  I can see him leaving the store empty handed.  After a few more attempts at trying to buy his tuna and pasta without paying the sales tax, I can see him told by management not to come back to the store.

Yes, BK, they can refuse to sell to you if you refuse to pay.

And that goes for the sales tax at every restaurant you go to, as well.

Your new diet is going to be a gangbusters success.

(Of course, you could move here to Delaware, where we don't have any sales taxes.  But first you're going to get here without paying the required taxes along the way.)

Good Evening!

I finally made it out of the apartment a couple of hours ago.  I really had no plans to do anything, so I just took the A train down to Chelsea and walked around for a bit.  I found myself over by Madison Square Park, and then walked up Broadway to check out the "new" Broadway Boulevard project.  Hmm...

They taken away two lanes of traffic between Times Square and Herald Square - a span of eight blocks.  They've added a dedicated bike lane, and, supposedly they will be adding cafe seating along the way.  Hmm...

That stretch of Broadway is not exactly the most scenic, and it's very office building saturated.  No tourist spaces, not much shopping, etc.  Of course, since they took away two lanes of traffic, there's not a bottle-neck when you travel south on Broadway at 42nd Street.  Hmm...

*However, it does look like the bike lane extends down to 23rd Street.

And the shade of green that they've painted the bike lane reminds me of that stuff they would use in grade school after someone had thrown-up, that greenish-blue powder to help clean up and deodorize.  Hmm...

What will be your first White House scandal, BK?

Having a member of his cabinet who has never seen the original version of "E.T." or it's Bollywood rip-off version.

I just checked along the street - we still have fireflies, half-way through July.  Der Brucer told me they wouldn't last past the Fourth, but there they are, creating their magic as they flit their horny way through the brush and dell.

Oh, now, I know you love to read CAREFULLY - I'm not talking about sales tax - sales tax is fine and dandy.  I'm talking about personal taxes.   I'm talking about taxing the billion and trillion dollar corporations instead of the little people - you know, those corporations that get amazing tax breaks and concessions from the leaders of our country.

I am the people's candidate, baby!  You can go around in circles and you can toe the party line, but it doesn't make what's going on good, right, or fair.

Der Brucer has a new game for me to play.  He pulls out a protein from the freezer, and I get to figure out what to serve as dinner after it's thawed.

It's the Mystery Meat Game.

Chuck Barris would be proud.

And maybe, after a few Chuck Barris dinners, der B will decide it isn't that fun of a game after all.   ::)

I'm talkin' about two million people saying "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" and telling the IRS to go after people who can afford the money.  I'm talkin' about a new way, a new road, a new vision.  And as your next President, I will find the new way, the new road, the new vision.  I will not be in the service of big business or big oil.  Not this guy, baby.

No, BK, you said taxes.  You didn't qualify.  You didn't say which taxes.  And what you said was that if two million people stopped paying taxes, that would instantly create change.  If not sales taxes, which are instant, what other taxes (which are more delayed) could create such instant change?

A good leader leads by example, after all.
