Next, I watched THE BOURNE SUPREMACY on HD-DVD. I had watched the first and third installments of the movie on HD, so I enjoyed watching this middle installment just to have the whole story firm in my head. With years between each of the movies, I tended to forget all the set-ups and relationships from one to the next. It's all clearer now.

The HD-DVD looked just superb. The Dolby Digital Plus sound was fine but just a tad underwhelming. I guess anything would be after listening to BATMAN BEGINS and CLOVERFIELD in Dolby TrueHD over the weekend. Those audio mixes blew the windows out.

Next I watched (or rather rewatched) ANOTHER THIN MAN. I believe this is the first THIN MAN film I've watched on this TV that I got last September, so it was quite wonderful to see it upconverted so beautifully. Really enjoyed it.

Well, I need to put the finishing touches on my packing, and then it's to bed. My flight leaves at 9:00, so I'll have to leave here no later than 6:30. Well, 7:00 if I opt to take a cab instead of the subway/bus.

TOmorrow I'll be watching VAMPYR, another film that will be absolutely new to me.

I noticed on the back of the disc box that, like THE THREEPENNY OPERA, which I reviewed some months ago, this 1932 German film is also in the same VERY narrow aspect ratio of 1.19:1.

Thank you DR Jane. I never really noticed it before. I knew I had one in almost every file, but 20 on my desk each with just a page or two of notes, lol. And another 20-25 in the murder case file. It's just too funny.

Give yourself a break. A trial is like running a 10 mile marathon, and you need to be good to yourself. No diets. No family. Have a cupcake and meditate. I have total faith in your abilities, so give 'em hell, and work on the crud afterwards. I went through this too many times as a paralegal, so I know you have to take care of yourself. I used to make DR MusicGuy (when we were still together) do the same thing before a concert. There is enough physical and mental stress that you don't need to put yourself through anymore suffering. You have nough on your plate right now, dear friend. Eat well, and get some rest.
