I was shocked to find out something about a co-worker today.... She is a supporter of the candidate I refuse to vote for on the republican ticket.

She thinks he is sexy....

I wisely walked away and held my tongue

You are a very, VERY wise woman!  :)

Well, it looks like I'm the only one here right now and am talking to myself.  If anyone gets on before midnight.  Goodnight to one and all! Sweetest dreams! :)

Had an odd day which brought to mind the old saying "an oral agreement isn't worth the paper it's printed on."

I have a better question. How can July be half over? Didn't it just start a couple of days ago?

Ain't it the truth!

I can't make it to page 13.  I'm lucky I got to see page 12.

I gave you the perfect set-up for a Sophie Tucker joke.  That's a good thing!

And it was my great pleasure when that old joke sprang forth after reading your post!   ;D

OMG! Spoiler -- Big Brother 10 -- OMG!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I am really loving this show, thus far.  Tonight's drama was better than I'd imagined.  I was shouting at my TV screen when Jerry -- confronted with the "truth" about Brian by 8 houseguests -- sat there in denial and said he didn't trust any of them.

I was shouting, "You trust BRIAN, Jerry!  And he's making you look like a fool telling everyone how he's manipulating you into doing his bidding!"

Good for Libra for stirring this stuff up and forcing April to confront Ollie!  And good for Ollie!  And good for Jessie and Memphis!  And I'll even throw in a GOOD FOR RENNY, because unless she just hangs herself to spite her face, she's not going home this week.  And even if she hangs herself, I'll go so far as to say she still won't go home because none of them can afford to let Brian stay.

I felt sorry for Jerry.  It was sort of amusing in a bittersweet way to hear him explain why he wasn't wearing any of his military hats -- 'cause he didn't want to shame any of the services when he went back on his word.   I hope he recovers quickly, because I'm certain most servicemen would say that only a fool would stick to his word in the face of betrayal, which is the worst kind of dishonor.

Brian amuses me because he's a Mike Boogie wannabe.  I know they were likening him to Dr. Will, but Brian was too heavy-handed and obvious to be in Will's league.  Brian had delusions of grandeur, walking around and talking to folks like he was Don Vito Corleone promising favors in return for a favor he would call in at some time in the future.

That's the danger of guys falling too much in love with "The Godfather", IMO.  They turn into mooks when they try to "be" like a Corleone.

DR MBarnum, I'm wondering -- naturally -- what your take is on Steven and why he's been "under the radar", thus far.  We hardly see anything of him, which is good.  I recall Season 6 when Kaysar didn't come into his own until, I think the fourth week.  That's when Cappy sealed his own fate and got the boot.  That remains my favorite season, but also my least favorite outcome.

I hope this season continues to live up to the fun I've had with it so far!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

End SPOILER

I don't see us getting to page 13.  Not with only me here and longing for bed.

I saw a really terrific promo for the new season of "Eureka!" on the SciFi channel.  It was all singing, all dancing, and it was done very WELL!  It put a smile on my face, so I had to record it (my DVR will record any program from the point at which I started watching).

That's an interesting thought...12 more posts on page 12 before getting to 13.

Except for the fact that it's now only 11 more posts on page 12 before betting to 13.

And that presupposes someone else hasn't posted while I was typing this.
