What an ordeal! JetBlue cancelled my flight because the plane from JFK wasn't going to get there (I guess that's the plane that would have turned around and flown us back). There were two other non-stop flights out of Burbank, both sold out. There was one with a stopover - I would have left at seven in the morning and arrived at nine-thirty. Uh, no. There was a red-eye that would have gotten me in at five-thirty in the morning. Uh, no. So, we checked the flights out of Long Beach and there was a 12:30 p.m. flight she could get me on and she got me the same bulkhead seat, so I grabbed it. That means I don't get in the city until ten, but that's okay. I'll check in, and then go to Joe Allen at 10:30 to have a salad with Kevin. The only bad thing was the car rate is triple what it is to Burbank, but Kevin's picking that up, which is very gracious of him. So, at least we'll have our full eight-hour rehearsal, and I'll be there for the show, to make sure the band rehearsal goes well, and that all the staging works for the venue. Hopefully, my Sunday flight won't be cancelled.
And that's what I've been doing for the last hour. The upside is, I don't have to get up at five in the morning, and I'll be able to jog before going to the airport, so I'll only miss two days of jogging at the most, although my intention is to get up early Friday morning and jog before rehearsal, and the same on Saturday before we all leave for Great Neck.
