COUNTING CALORIES

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were low in calories and content, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently cownting cowlories.

Once again, navigating around the site is speed personified - but posting is like glue.  WHY?

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I was up earlier, but that was because some really(!) loud(!) back-up "beep" woke me up around 5:30.  I think it was either the trash trucks or the police van that camps out down on the corner.  At least I was able to get back to sleep for a few more minutes.

LOL!

Apparently, the newscaster almost missed coming back into the studio for the local news break during "The Today Show".  She just spent the past three minutes trying to catch her breath after running into the studio, and gasping for air almost every other word.

bk - Yes, they passed a law here in NYC regarding the posting of calorie counts on fast food menus that went into effect a few months ago.  -Well, it's not just restricted to fast food restaurants; it's related to the number of locations they have.  *Going to Starbucks has certainly been an eye-opener lately.  In any case...

Just go to any restaurant's website, and you should be able to pull up a nutritional chart.  Pizza Hut has a good one - even if it is a little but fussy.

*And, yes, you can eat pizza and still lose weight.  You can eat any food and still lose weight.  It's just a matter of how much of each food you eat.

As for the other half of the TOD:

I don't know how low-calorie it is, but my nutrionist wanted me eating small bits of protein at regular intervals throughout the day to control my blood sugar.  The easiest and least fuss is nuts, so you can usually find me with a zip-lock or two of 20 almonds or cashews each - that's about one serving.

Yes, I agree with the notes that Skip's cheesecake, in moderation,  is very much part of the low-cal.

I have to make a presentation at 10am. It's something I've done before so it should go smoothly. I haven't been around much the past couple of weeks but I'll be around even less today as I am in the Training Annex from 10-12.

Bye!

Again in ArnoldBrockman's absence, with the word of the day being POPINJAY (defined by some sources as "a vain or talkative person, who chatters like a parrot"), a possible song of the day is:

"I Hear Talk" sung by Bucks Fizz

As i've noted before, "I Hear Talk" contains the couplet that has words to think about in this internet age, even though the song was recorded long before the internet:

"If you don't want a headline better use your head
'Cause I heard someone say something you said"
