Also delayed until October: The standard DVD release of the newly mastered "How the West Was Won" (with the Cinerama seams removed).

I've read "speculation" that Warner Brothers may be planning on releasing the same "curved" HTWWW on standard DVD that has been announced for Blu-ray DVD (BVD).

The "curved" feature is said to replicate the look of the film as it was seen in Cinerama theaters.

I'm so excited:  Got a call from a shipping company in San Francisco.  A piece of furniture I ordered two weeks ago has arrived, and so I've scheduled the delivery for tomorrow.

Yay!

I'm taking Friday off:  I have to renew my driver's license "in person", and have made an appointment that morning.  And then I have an appointment with my doctor in the afternoon.

Color me amazed department:  I got sick of looking at these piles of DVDs I have lying around that I'll never watch again, and I will not sell on eBay due to their insane new feedback policies (sellers can only leave positive feedback), so I decided to post on Craig's List last night, not holding out much hope.  Within minutes I had several responses offering to get everything from me (which is a lot--probably over 100 DVDs).  This morning I sold all of them for close to $500, much more than I would ever have gotten on eBay.  I'm a happy camper.

Bruce, is there a possible Kevin/Sean CD in the future?

CD or DVD - we're not sure what we'll do, but we're going to try and do something by the end of October here in LA.

I forgot to mention in my thoughts about 711 Ocean Drive the most amusing thing - that address, I suppose, is supposed to represent where Eddie O'Brien lives at the beach.  However, the address and house have nothing whatsoever to do with the plot of the film, and not only that you can clearly SEE the address of the house, which is five numbers, as it should be in Malibu.  But movies with street names and addresses were very popular at the time, and I'm sure that's why they did it - the movie was probably called something else originally.

Always sad to see classic cars rusting away in some field. I often wonder if my old 1963 Mercury Comet met that fate or if the person who bought it restored it to.

LOL!  The UPS guy saw my boss getting on the elevator about 15 minutes ago and he asked her if she would sign for two packages for me and then give them to me.

I received the Tyrone Power Matinee Idol collection and the latest Stargate DVD -- "Stargate Continuum".

The Fox/Power set has 10 movies of varying "quality", but some are totally interesting to me, including "Johnny Apollo," "Café Metropole" and "This Above All."

Thanks for the link, DR JRand57!  I love me some rhubarb!  Especially when it is combined with strawberries!  :)

I always get interested when food is "fixin'" to be something or other.

Yes the sweetness of the strawberries counter acts - somewhat - the tartness of the rhubarb....you can also use oranges.....

I may not have chocolate pie.

And I may not have strawberry rhubarb pie.

But I have carrot cake!   :D

And I have "Frosty Paws" doggie ice cream treats in the freezer until quitting time.  But I am not planning on offering those to my work colleagues.

[I'm saving them for the drive home.   ;) ]
