The two items are called Italian photobustas...and they are largish lobby displays a bit larger than lobby cards.  The TKAM photobusta is 18 3/4" X 26", and the Oklahoma! photobusta is 13" X 19".

I wanted these two very badly.  And I stuck to my guns.

Amazingly, they didn't sell for nearly what I thought they would.

Back from a two-mile jog.  The news is, of course, having a field day reporting absolutely nothing they couldn't say in five minutes.  They'll keep this going all day and into the evening - I'm sure they're already calling it EARTHQUAKE: 2008!  accompanied by dramatic music.

They did over an hour of EARTHQUAKE 2008 on our TV stations, and we aren't even in California.

Sound painful.   Have you tried a solvent?

The disc also offers a variety of extras. There are two more experimental short films of the director done in the same silent with effects/music track style as the main feature. One a look at a famous Canadian castrato singer and the other a look at the Foley company who did the effects.

Is the Foley company an American company, Matt?

At one point some years ago, I had one of the biggest Eyetalian movie poster collections in the world - I probably had about two hundred photobustas, I had original country of origin posters on all the Fellini films, and a lot of Eyetalian material on American films, which was always preferable to the American material.

Take your camera, Jane! You might see something interesting.

I still don't have a new one.  The only "interesting" thing I saw were for sale leaflets, for the home above us, in the ditch.  I would have picked them up except I didn't want to walk into the brush wearing shorts.  I'm still red & itchy where something stung me way back on July 16th.

THIS WORD JUST IN FROM CALIFORNIA..............

Scientists have now confirmed that today's seismic event was not really an earthquake, but merely Raymond Burr rolling over in his grave!

What?  If I was dead, I would have inserted my name into the story.

Ben, how are you ever going to manage without your hubby around for all that time?

I'm fond of much of the photobusta stuff I've seen.  Problem is, it sells at high prices more often than not.  I paid less for the TKAM photobusta than I did for the Oklahoma! one, believe it or not.

I am now finishing the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. When that is done I will move on to the Annie E. Casey Foundation which will take a couple of weeks, especially since I will be in Minnesota from August 7th through the 10th

I feel like I'm listening to the credits on NPR  ;D

Just got back from the mail place - waiting for me were the first two copies of Murder At The Grove - the hardcover and softcover.  I must say, the dust jacket colors are always much truer on the hardcover - don't really know why.  They look great, and I'll be placing my order tomorrow, which means I should have books in two to three weeks.  Meanwhile, there are only ten left of the nifty bonus gift - I think those will go quickly as soon as the title is up at Kritzerland and I do my e-Blast.

Today was a pretty rough day, but I was able to make the points I need for my closing, something I love and am looking forward to.   I'm sure I've missed things along the way, but I'm pretty comfortable.  Tomorrow the state reads in the trial transcript of the medical examiner and they are done with their case.  Then my client will testify we'll be done with evidence.  I'm expecting to do closing statements on Thursday.

We're getting close to the end. So far so good.

DRs JulieC40 and PDXJane & pleased you made it home.  I’m curious, did JetBlue make an attempt to get you on any other flights even if they weren’t non-stop?  I’m very sorry about the extra expense, was that total or per flight? Either way-OUCH!

DR Julie, now that you are home try and rest your ankle well & keep it elevated.

My best friend came down from the lake to sit and watch all day today.  It was great to have her there. We had lunch at the break and dinner before she left.  I'm still not eating much, but I did eat today.

I hit a point in every trial when I can exhale. I'm there.  I think we're ready for tomorrow, but I have to study the jury instructions and do a little research for tomorrow.

It wasn't as bad as it looks.  The first witness is wearing a Bob Marley T-Shirt. Can you imagine wearing that to testify in a murder trial that started as a drug deal?
