Yes, thank you Jane, I have seen it. I try not to ever post anything (except my often stupid jokes) without first checking Snopes. George Adamson's murder in 1989 was indeed a tragic end to a beautiful story.

Is there anyone on this site that is a fan of EUREKA? I had never seen the show, but I was curious about it after seeing an ad for the new season. I just got the first part of season one from Netflix today.

I have a question that i'm guessing some DRs will know the answer to.

I have a gas bbq (grill). Tonight i accidently left one of the burners on low instead of turning it off. The gas was off. But i went out. And when i came back i noticed the left side of the grill was still lit (although very low).

I'm assuming that since the gas was off that it was not using up any gas (is that correct?).

But if it runs on gas and the gas was off, then how did it stay lit (this is 2 hours after i turned it off).

If the gas was off, it wouldn't stay lit. There would be no fuel for it to burn

Btw, i just found out Saving Grace season 2 will start here sept 4th. It's not my favorite show. But it did grow on me!

The gas was 100% off. I turned it off at dinnertime. Plus i double checked 2 hours later, when i saw one burner was still turned on.

I know sometimes even when the burners are off, it can stay lit for a short amount of time. Although i'm never forgotten to turn off one of the burners.

I love love love Amanda Plummer! When I worked at the Drama Book Shop, Amanda always brought the employees flowers. When I went backstage to see her after PYGMALION, she was really wonderful and we had a great visit. She was charming to my friend Jeff, and my memory is that we walked her to a taxi.

I had quite a nice evening of filmed entertainment on DVD.

I began by finishing ANNE OF THE THOUSAND DAYS. Bujold's performance has grown on me over the years, and I quite like it now.

Next, I plucked out of my towering stack of "fun" DVDs WATCH ON THE RHINE. I have only seen this movie once many years ago, so I enjoyed seeing it again. Had some really stirring speeches and some wonderful performances. Not a movie that "moves" but one of ideas and ideals just right for the era when it was produced.
