Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both old and new again, and now it is time for you to post until the old and new cows come home.

It's my last day at work for the week. I leave for Minneapolis tomorrow morning. I won't be around much from Thursday until Monday morning.

I'll check in and print out my boarding pass later today and then tomorrow I will take the JFK Air Train to the airport. I've done it to Newark but never to JFK. I'm travelin' light (as they say) so the Air Train is the way to go. The E Train to Jamaica and a walk to the Air Train terminal and a quick ride to the airport. I'll be traveling with a cell phone for the first time but no computer (I heard someone in Wisconsin has a computer  ;)). My cousin Ray from Sheffield is coming to Minnesota also. It should be fun, but it's my family so anything can happen  :D

I'm here by myself. I don't like the echo of empty corridors so I will leave for the time being. I hope to come back to more posts.

Wake up people. It's 7:57am!!!

Is Arnold back in the country yet?

In Arnold's absence, in honor of the word of the day SPOONY, a possible song of the day

Here's Diana Ross (I think in downtown Vegas in the 1980's) singing "Why Do  Fools Fall in Love"

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I've been up for a while now.  There was a fire across the street.  Lots of sirens.  Lots of firemen.  Lots of fire and smoke.  Thankfully, they got the three tenants out of the building - the couple on the top floor were "escorted" from their windows down the ladders.  Alas, the owner of the building who lives on the ground floor is currently on vacation. Thankfully, our sometimes gardener - the one from New Zealand - seemed to know how to contact him, and was also able to tell the firemen that no one else was in the building.

Needless to say, it was quite the wake up call today.

Wednesday morning greetings!  I'm back in my regular parking space and my walk to the library this morning wasn't quite as challenging as a week ago Monday.  Don't want to do it more than once a day, though.

Happiest of birthdays to DR td!!!

That Titanic exhibit that DR td is attending today looks like great fun.  :)

I wonder if it's similar to the one we attended here in Cincinnati.  When we went in, we received the "identity" of a passenger and didn't know until the end whether or not we'd survived.

Glad no one was hurt.

Actually, I did take some pictures.  -I'm just not sure I want to or should post them.  -Well, I guess I could post some of the ones I took of the firemen and local chief of police.. ;)

Seriously...  When I had stepped out to see what was going on, the trucks were already pulled up, and they were getting the people out of the building.  I happened to take a few pics of them firemen helping the couple down the ladders.

*Alas, I just went outside to check things out, and it's pretty much all clear on the street.  The police are helping the three tenants go back into the building to get some of their belongings.  And like clock work, there's an "ambulance chaser" insurance guy trying to cozy up to anyone and everyone for information and names.  -I saw him walk up earlier - "shiny" pants, ill-fitting dress shirt, mis-matched tie, slicked back hair... I guess that is a stereotype!  :-\

The last time I went to England was on a tirp to Sheffield. I liked the town; the people there were very nice!

While we were there, there was a murderer loose who had knifed a couple of people. I wondered if it was done with one of those famous  Sheffield knives...
