And I'm here to tell you it would make no difference whatsoever to traffic congestion.  I drove in those lanes repeatedly during rush hour when I was doing the Brain in Anaheim, and they were frequently WORSE than the normal lanes.

Is The Brain in Anaheim a squel to that other BRAIN show?

Ask bk:

I notice there are several versions of Mario Bava's BLACK SUNDAY floating around---some even have different scores. I'd like to buy a copy of it, so which version would you recommend?

There shouldn't be that many now - the Image DVD is, I think, OOP.  If you want the best copy, it's the one in the Bava box set - I don't remember if they ever put out that version as a stand alone title - I'll go check.  Unfortunately, the only version that's on any of the discs is the original Eyetalian with the non-AIP American dub (done for the British release).  It's got the original Roberto Nicolosi score, which is very good.  However, the shame is that the AIP version, which has the Les Baxter score and a different English dub has never been available on DVD (it was on laserdisc).

DS Bryan began medical school so he couldn't attend the funeral.  DS Craig is still searching for a job & flew out.  He stayed with my brother, a convenient 2 miles from our Priceline hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Angeleno, right off the freeway with nowhere to walk.  It was perfect for our situation but I hope it never comes up on Priceline again.  If I do stay there again I’ll insist they provide us with more towels.  The first night was fine, after that there seemed to be a shortage.

The trip was 4 nights traveling, plus 3 nights in L.A.  Sherlock seems to be as exhausted as we are.  We think he didn’t sleep all that well without us.

Okay, yes, the new Black Sunday transfer is available as a standalone - here's the amazon link so you can see what the cover is:

Thanks.  Oddly, or not so, we have had equally or more difficult trips down there.  I'll tell you, it isn't fun crying when you don't have a cold, the combination was something. ;D

We kept wondering what else could complicate this, or add additional worry.  Fortunately all went very smoothly once we arrived and up until Monday the news on my friend kept getting better & better.

Listening to a new import Bacharach collection - filled with tracks I've never heard before - some rare vocalists, and some songs I hadn't heard, along with a few rarities that I love, like Made In Paris (vocal by Trini Lopez), and Doris Day singing Send Me No Flowers - but some very rare stuff here.

This is the DVD I have, with two versions on it:

Link doesn't work - but by two versions, do you mean one in Eyetalian with subs and one in English - I know of no DVD with the AIP version.

DVD for tonight is one I know nothing about it - a mini-series co-production between BBC and HBO called Five Days.  It sounds like the Dutch film The Vanishing, but I like this type of story so I'll give it a shot.  Anyone seen it or heard of it?

TCB, here is the trailer for the new Bollywood comedy DOSTANA, featuring both John Abraham and the guy you fell for last week when I postd his photo, Abishek Bachchan...and it has a gay storyline!

I had this one and I guess I looked at the information on amazon.com too fast.

Yes, that's the old OOP Image disc - the new one is sharper and better.

Ask bk:

Bruce, I asked a question on page 5, but maybe because you were posting at the exact same time, plus the web site was down for a few seconds then, you just didn't see it. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and try not to take it personally. Or perhaps you did answer and I just can't find it amongst all the posts from pages 6 to 8...hmmmm.

I have a question about "The Broadway Radio Show" here at HHW.  Does anyone still listen?  I often forget if I'm not reminded that there is a new show up.  How often does a new show get posted and is it still affiliated with HHW?  What's the scoop?
