I like Ken, too. He was most interested in this apparently big budget, fully orchestrated demo of "Darling of the Day" I came across at BK's former favorite haunt A-1 Record Finders on Melrose. WEHT Brian at A-1, BK?
BK himself emailed me to tell me of this here site. We had been emailing off and on since "meeting" on the late and not at all lamented RATM (now RATN, with the "N" being the first initial of its only poster's surname, LOL).
I know the answer to this question, even if Bruce has answered it. Since I'm just catching up and have stopped here, let me tell you that Brian Burney of A-1 Records has "retired", for all practical purposes.
He sold the buildings in which all A-1's records were warehoused. He rented storage in a hangar at Burbank airport. I communicated with him about a year ago when I was looking for some old MGM musical soundtracks. He was posting from poolside apparently and had some sort of tall cold one nearby. He was able to help me with a title or two, but he wasn't inclined to go rifling through the boxes in the hangar. Instead, he was more interested in selling off the entire lot.
If you ever received an e-mail from him, he still has the same e-mail address (or did a year ago).
