So, when Cason gets here we'll talk everything through, but it seems to me no matter what the contract says, Cason asked specific questions and was given specific answers (and he has the name of the person) and none of it jibes with what happened. Also, one could take the tack that THEY closed our account, not us - so since WE didn't close it early, why should WE have to pay this penalty. Cason, I'm told, was very clear with the person who set this up, and was told we could cancel at any time - penalties were never mentioned. How it will play out is anyone's guess, but I'm livid at these people and I'm also petrified they'll attempt to debit the $295 right now - if they do we're screwed because the stop payment takes three days to go into effect.
