 ;D Not at all, it is very pleasant indeed, almost like talking to Bryan in person.  Earlier today we Skyped with Craig.  It is very difficult living so far away from them, at least I get to see them on the webcam. :D

Sorry I can't stay but I just wanted to let everyone (and Jose!) know that somehow the me mail is working now.  I can send and receive it  That's fine with me.  Like I said, I'll just give that address out to friends and be very careful about not using it on sites that send a bunch of junk mail.  I'll use the rr account for those type of things.

Re Starbucks. I get a small bold coffee when I go to Starbucks. On the very rare occasion I get one of the fancy things (once or twice a year) I tell them to put in one-quarter the amount of syrup, skim milk, and no whipped cream. They are too sweet and rich for me otherwise.

Good for you.   -And what you're served is probably closer to the "original formula" than what the baristas "eye" for you in those blenders.  I know there have been times when I've asked for one "pump" of syrup to flavor my coffee, and a lot of times one equals three.  :-\

DR edisaurus - I'm not really sure where or when the "salted caramel" trend started, but it has been around for a couple of years.  Actually, I believe it started by "accident" when someone used salted butter in a batch of caramels instead of (unsalted) sweet cream butter.

Some salted caramels are saltier than others.  I actually don't like to taste the salt that distinctly - unless it's sea salt or gray salt sprinkled on top of a caramel-chocolate.  I liken it more to adding salt to chocolate confections, where the salt actually helps to bring out the flavor of the chocolate without really adding any sort of saline note.

Basically, right now, I think "salted caramel" is a more of a buzz-word for "not as sweet", rather than anything else.  So, just the right amount of "sweet" rather than "cloying".

I'm not sure it ever got as warm as they predicted it was going to get. I walked outside around 6, and it felt very cool. It's cooler still right now. Heaven.

I watched three more episodes of NASH BRIDGES, all mediocre, but they did work Nash's father into two of those stories. He's on the verge of Alzheimers with a memory that comes and goes, especially when some case hinges on his remembering something. I find that a little distasteful frankly to use that awful disease for dramatic effect.

There was also one bonus feature on the first disc. It was a Writers' Roundtable discussion with five of the writers for the series that lasted about 20 minutes. Kind of interesting hearing them talk about writing for a star as opposed to writing an ensemble drama.
