Bruce, I'm glad you are feeling better.  Laura is not (probably the same thing you have--- that sinus infection/cold/allergy thing -- it's all around the country.

TOD:  I loved "Poltergeist" and "Dead of Night."  There was also a made for TV movie called, "The Paper Man" which frightened me to no end.  Most films that scare me are more suspense rather than horror.  "wait Until Dark" probably fits into that category and practically gave me a heart attack.  One viewing was enough.

Health and happy vibes to all-- the world needs them!

Not much going on on the Internet today.  As Marthe Keller would say, "It's bowing."

I would suppose that my favorite horror movie, the one I've returned to time and again, is Rosemary's Baby.  I also love Psycho, Black Sunday, Eyes Without A Face, The Omen - I'm sure I'll think of others.

"Rosemary's baby" and "the Stepford Wives" worked so well, because it all seemed so ordinary and possible.

I think Mercury was still retrograding with Uranus yesterday cuz when I tried to log on this here site, it kept only showing about 15 lines of our ruler's notes and kept stopping at the word "the" and then ... nothing -- blank, a freeze on all else HHW.

I'm Baa-ck!! (but not for too long cause I've gotta scram here shortly -- got some props to get for my latest project -- Ghost Talk at our little theatre -- have to swing by the middle school to pick up a violin for one of my ghosts Prof. Stanislaus who played with the vaudeville troupe at our local Elks Opera House -- our very own Phantom of the Opera House ... Spoo-ky...)

Speaking of Spoo-ky, is it just me (or my screen) or are the new icons on this here new and improved HHW a bit eerie ... the eyes are now too big, dark or whatever -- and instead of cute and irritating, they look kind'a creepy? ...  :-X  Could it be Sa-taan?! (Church Lady reference)  >:(

The Uninvited (Ray Milland)

Just last week a friend recalled seeing this in the movie theater as a child & still remembers how frightening it was.  She had not liked it.  I suggested she revisit the film to appreciate how wonderful it is. :)

You can fix your avatar - it's quite simple - so can someone please tell Miss Karen the simple steps.

Well, someone can tell me how to fix it til' bk's cows come home, but I still won't understand how to do it (You're modern ways confuse and frighten me -- SNL Caveman skit reference) -- and that's okay that I look like Tiny Tim -- the better not to see the wrinkles and gray hair ...

"Somebody" has posted the following to the Technical Support section of the forum with subject line:  Changing Avatar Size for New Forum.  Folks can be referred there in future:

-At the top of this page, click on Profile.

-Then along the left hand side of the page under "Modify Profile" click on "Forum Profile Information".

-Click the "dot" next to "Personalized Picture", then scroll down the list to the right and select "FredPassport" (or the avatar of your choice).  Your "full-size" pic should appear in the preview.

-Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Change Profile".

(Instructions courtesy of Jose Simbulan post from October 8, 2008).

Plus, my avatar looks a little creepy that size -- I can match the icons (on my screen it looks like I have a tooth or two missing -- by cracky!)

Good morning all.

Unless you count Little Shop of Horrors, I don't do horror flicks.  I have been watching the news for the last few years though...does that count?

Could someone post instructions at the technical side of this forum that can be easily accessed?  It's getting to be a weekly indulgence for "somebody" to post how to do something that has been explained several times since the new forum was born.

What?! You don't want to indulge your ever-loving Miss Karen, DR Ronnie P? That is a deep wound ... Where's a tissue? (now, look what you've gone and one -- you've made Miss Karen cry ...)

Oh, the inhumanity of it all -- Won't anyone indulge Miss Karen with tech notes she won't heed anyway? ...

Larry -  Anything to do with Monday having been a bank holiday?

No, because even if they had processed it on Tuesday, the transfer would have happened by now.  I hate being in cash flow hell because of property closing, inconsiderate employers and, much as I appreciate the kindness of the people I'm waiting to repay, I just want to know I can afford to make a living from the work I'm hired to do. The fact that I'm now out of my diabetes meds, cannot even afford to refill a prescription or pay the rent because I'm waiting on funds is infuriating beyond belief.
