TOD:

From "Nobody" sung by Sylvia

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AfvRWvvP1U

Maybe that explains the last two week
You called me up, dead on your feet
Working late again
I asked who with
You said, nobody
Aah, nobody

Well your nobody called today
She hung up when I asked her name
Well, I wonder
Does she think she's being clever
You say, nobody's after you
The fact is what you say is true
But I can love you like nobody can
Even better

Sorry to hear about Mr. Blackwell - I always enjoyed seeing him on various opening nights I attended right up until a couple of months ago.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for Rudy Ray Moore, who directed the blaxploitation film Dolemite.  Back when we were previewing Nudie Musical around town, we did one preview in downtown San Diego where we showed with Dolemite.  We were literally the only white people in the theater and we were all quite nervous about being there and how they'd react to our film.  Well, they were a GREAT audience and after the show all those wonderful people could not have been nicer to us.  And Dolemite was fun.

Hey, look me over
Lend me an ear
Fresh out of clover
Mortgage up to here
But don't pass the plate, folks
Don't pass the cup
I figure whenever you're down and out
The only way is up

And I'll be up like a rosebud
High on the vine
Don't thumb your nose, but
But take a tip from mine
I'm a little bit short of the elbow room
But let me get me some
And look out world here I come.

Nothing's impossible I have found
For when my chin is on the ground
I pick myself up
Dust myself off
And start all over again

Don't lose your confidence if you slip
Be grateful for a pleasant trip
And pick yourself up
Dust yourself off
And start all over again.

And he is survived by his partner of 60 years.

I would like to trade, size wise, the photo of Sherlock in the tunnel (can't see him in the small photo) with the large one of above it.

The other day someone mentioned the new ad for Direct TV using the image of the late Heather O'Rourke.  In the new edition of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, their weekly feature The Bullseye also took exception to using a young actress, who has been dead for twenty years, to hawk their product.

BK -  I tried to order those two CD's from kritzerland.com but got confused, so I just sent a paypal payment with a note that they're for the two CD's plus shipping.

Oh, there's nothin' halfway about the Iowa way to treat you
When we treat you which we may not do at all
There's an Iowa kind of special chip on the shoulder attitude
We've never been without that we recall.
We can be cold as our falling thermometers in December
If you ask about our weather in July
And we're so by God stubborn we could stand touchin' noses for a week at time
And never see eye to eye
But what the heck, you're welcome
Join us at the picnic
You can eat your fill of all the food you bring yourself
You really ought to give Iowa a try.

Meredith Willson - The Music Man

Monday evening greetings!  I am back from Georgia after an 11-hour drive today with my mom, aunt, and sister.  My sister did all the driving and must be exhausted.  I know I am, and I was just the navigator.

But the trip was totally worthwhile and we made a lot of great memories.

And ice like vinyl
On the streets
Cold as silver
White as sheets
Rain like strings
And changing things
Like leaves.

I remember leaves
Green as spearmint
Crisp as paper.
I remember trees
Bare as coat racks
Spread like broken umbrellas.

And parks and bridges,
Ponds and zoos,
Ruddy faces,
Muddy shoes,
Light and noise and
Bees and boys
And days.

I remember days,
Or at least I try.
But as years go by
They're sort of haze,
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky.

YES!  Very good call, TCB

I agree with what DR Jose and other DRs have said about jogging vs walking. And about eating little meals throughout the day (vs one meal of the day).

It literally made me cringe when i read that after the chicken soup anyone would even think of not eating again for the rest of the day.

Although i wonder if walking and eating a bunch of little meals would have the same effect on someone who doesn't really have much more weight to lose. I do think it sounds a lot healthier.

Had you read on, you would have seen that I did indeed eat after the chicken soup - eggs and an English muffin, carrots, etc.

Yeah i read that part after.

What i was referring to was the intent not to eat any more. Not that you didn't.

AMAZING RACE SPOILERS from last night
*
*
*

TAR last night had a LOT of challenges - and New Zealand is beautiful.  And if the two divorcees didn't get to go home, I glad it was the other team of my non favorites.

I enjoyed TAR last night. Fine with who went home and enjoyed them all being bunched up and having to do challenges and really race each other

fiaufdsaufopdua fopdusa fo usafudsa98fd7sa98f79f79dsa7f9sa7f987df98oiufoidsa f ud9 joiufpaof u
I was also okay with the team who went home (they really did not seem to do anything right this episode). But i disagree about the bunching. I hate it and find it extremely unfair to the good teams. But constantly letting the bad teams catch up and then not making them do that many tasks it allows the bad teams to stay much longer than they should.
I will say i am sick of those divorcees witches. They do not seem nice at all. But had some luck. I like the tasks where it takes actual effort. So i really liked the stepping on kiwis vs building those bikes. Some people were good at each. and you really had to work at it.
Anybody have any favorites? I am amazed that ken and barbie keep finishing at the top. I really did not think they would be this good.
