After about fifteen minutes of torrential rain this afternoon, it has turned into a beautiful fall day.  The sun is shining and it is nice and warm - as long as I don't go outside.

I will be gone from Monday evening until Thursday evening.  I have to go up north of Seattle for training on our new computer program.  My son has agreed to come in and feed his brother and sister.

Well, I should say that his wife and I decided that he would agree to feed his brother and sister.

DR Jane - Most races use a "chip" system now to track their participants. Each runner is given a tracking device - the chip - that they attach to their shoes (usually through the laces).  This allows the race officials to track the progress of the runners, as well to provide a more accurate record of when they cross the Finish Line - and the Start Line.  -Which is very important when you have 39,000+ runners starting over the span of 90 minutes.

Some runners even have a "lucky chip", and will use the same chip from race to race - as long as the transmitter is still working. They just have to register their chip number for each new race.

But are can you track them all online?

I knew about the chips, not that they could be re-used.

It was so relaxing to sit with my feet up and watch the skating show with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  Just what I needed after my hectic, but festive, last several weeks.  Tonight, I think I'll watch some football - Colts v. Patriots - featuring some former Michigan stars.

I guess I'll futz around with some computer maintenance for awhile and then head downstairs to get clothes sorted for today's laundry and then start thinking about what's for lunch.

WBBL.

Finally, an acknowledgment that dirty clothes precede the folded laundry! :D

DR Jose, she didn't give it a name.  We know she was looking for, and found, eosinophilic cells.

Is the presumption that he got it from insect stings?

There is no early voting in Manhattan. Probably because most voting is done by machines.

In many areas the early voting is still done by machine in specially designated polling places.

No presumptions DR der Brucer.  It could have been anything.  He had a smaller reaction on his ear to a tick.  There had been little yellow jackets on the trail but I thought they were gone.  He could have shoved his face into anything.

Thank you Danise, Ginny, and Jane.  I am hoping I can find a computer up north where I can sign in for a few minutes.

DR Danise - Good to hear that you're getting your new computer system up and running. *Of course, the easiest way to deal with Windows programs on a Mac is just to learn the Mac equivalents.  ;)

-I forget - Why and for how long are you going to Pittsburgh?

Well, I have some programs that I really don't want to give up.  I've spent to many hours with Cook 'n.

As for the trip, I'm taking Bear home to Mom.  It's what she wanted and I gave my word that I would bury him with her.

I know I maybe should have waited until the spring but with the way things are going with the economy,  I was afraid to wait until the spring or later.  By doing this now, if I can't make it back up for a couple of years, my heart can beat easy.

I have to start working on my house and that won't leave much for taking trips!  :)

It's going to be a quick one.  Up on Sunday/back on Tuesday.   I honestly don't know, td.  So far, I have no plans for Monday night dinner and I'm scared to drive after dark.  There is a place call "Bravo" just across the street from the hotel on McKnight Road.
