Good morning!

More light rain occurring, but it's not especially cold which help make it not as miserable as it could be. Hopefully, the rain will hold off when I'm out running my errands later.

More comments on GREY'S ANATOMY last night.

Melissa George was added to the cast as a new intern. I DESPISED her when she was added to the ALIAS cast, and I had the same knee jerk reaction to her last night. I find her a poor actress, and I never enjoy watching her work. And the entire "interns operating on each other" storyline is beyond creepy.

I don't know WHAT they're doing with Izzy/Denny. That is beyond strange (though, of course, I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan and always reilish seeing him.)

I've been waiting for some Ebay vendors to start offering THE SINGING NUN culled from that Holiday Collection Vol. 1 package which is just a rerelease of the original three films with THE SINGING NUN as a bonus. This morning several were offering it, and I bought one.

No, it's not a good film, but I saw it at Radio City Music Hall all those years ago and really liked the Americanized adaptations of the music. It's the best singing Debbie Reynolds ever did in a movie, I think, and that piano theme that Chad Everett "plays" is simply lovely. (Wore out my soundtrack LP just on that cut alone.)

Good morning.  I did a "to do" list of my open items for the tax office, and there's nothing like getting everything you have to do listed on one piece of paper to make it SEEM more manageable timewise.

I had a very poor night of sleep, so after I got up earlier than usual and got the newspaper read, I finished watching the last 15 minutes of CSI: NY that I didn't get to last night. Surprising murderer! And now a new story arc/stalker for Stella. A new romance for Don Flack and a continuing arc with his alcoholic sister. These shows can't be content with just their mystery elements any more.

I have a bunch of stuff that I can watch this weekend.

We're halfway through LAW & ORDER, Season 6 and, assuming it arrives, I'll have WARNERS AND THE HOMEFRONT (i.e. THIS IS THE ARMY, THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS, HOLLYWOOD CANTEEN).

I also have some discs from that upcoming set, MURNAU, BORZAGE AND FOX.  My wife has never seen SUNRISE.

Everybody should see SUNRISE.  It's the CITIZEN KANE of the silent era.

Tonight I shall catch the little feral orange kitten that has been in the backyard so I can tame him and give him to DR Kerry. Shh. Don't tell him.

Matty is my favorite.  Randy is my LEAST favorite.  I like Sugar, Bob, Kenny and (sometimes) Crystal.

I think it's hilarious that the big plan Randy had of taking out the remaining members of the opposing tribe has now fallen into the flaming embers.  I only wish Randy had been voted out last night.

I could not agree more. It's a breathtaking film and one I enjoy revisiting from time to time.

Well, the UPS truck dropped off a package, so I guess I should head down to see what's arrived. Then, I'll get cleaned up for running my usual Friday errands.

Where is Elmo this morning?

I'm thinking it's well past time for him to post that he's off to NYPL and then to physical therapy.

My favorites are Sugar and Bob.

My least favorite is Randy. He makes me want to vomit on the ground. Next least favorite is that other gal whose name I can't recall, but who seems to hate everyone.

Corinne.   And ditto.

Sad to say, she was the reason Kenny led the charge to evict who he did last night.

"Survivor" footnotes:

Re: Randy's reply to Crystal last night at tribal council about why he dislikes her so.  I thought Randy's response was a good one concerning G.C. and Crystal (and Kenny) in the early going.  None wanted to step up and all wanted to complain.  But it was Randy, head and shoulders above everyone else, who sat back and did nothing but wait for his solo camera moments to bitch about anyone and everyone.  So his shots, while accurate, were cheap and terribly one-sided.  If he had tried to assume a leadership role and get things done, everyone might have acted very differently.

When they went through their first regrouping and Randy replaced Ace at Kota, he found a willing audience ready to believe the worst of everyone at Fang.

Randy is one of the poorest sports (if one can call him a "sport" of any kind) I've ever seen on "Survivor."

And Randy's failings came through in the last "team victory" when they were playing golf.  Matty was "the man" and he wanted to make sure nothing went wrong on that last shot.  But Randy wouldn't shut up.  He couldn't let Matty have a moment.  Randy was out of his mind.  He later said that about Matty, LOL.
