I stopped at the market on my way back from the band rehearsal, so I've put the groceries away, had a bit of cereal, and I'll watch THE AMAZING RACE before going to bed. I think tonight's benefit will be wonderful! There are some great folk I had hoped to hear tonight, like Liz Callaway, but I heard lots of others, all really wonderful, and there will be a lot of great moments I will be sorry to miss.
For me, the nostalgia blitz tonight was seeing Jill O'Hara doing her two numbers. In August, 1969, after summer theatre ended, I flew to New York for a week and saw her, Jerry Ohrbach, and the original cast of PROMISES PROMISES at the Shubert Theatre. It was a great production and it was nice to know that Jill O'Hara still has the vocal chops. She and Tony roberts were very wonderful together.
If any HHW folk are going to the event, can you please pick up for me a program?
