It ran beautifully smoothly. Even with the limitation of just the one stage entrance, bk mixed it up and kept a flowing rhythm to the proceedings. The band sounded great, and as bk mentioned, the sound was nearly flawless. Special mention to the backup singers and the amazing William Galison on harmonica. Wow!
There were too many “special moments,” but special highlights for me were the opening number, zippy and full of energy and wonderfully staged by Adam Cates with a concept by bk, John Bolton’s giddy and goofy “Basketball,” Kevin Early’s amazing singing, and "Turkey Lurkey" – it just made the entire audience want to jump up on the stage! Amazing joy. I wasn’t sure how they were going to accomplish it given the very very limited stage real estate, but it came off so amazingly. Jill O’Hara and Tony Roberts were so touching, and Liz Callaway’s mega-wattage voice can do no wrong, in my book.
Congratulations to all that made it happen!!
DR FJL was
sure that the lyrics actually were: "Do You Know the Way to Blame Jose?"

I am so sorry to have to miss tonight’s gathering.
The DH is coping with his aunt’s estate [he is also the executor], and he just really needs my help at the moment.
