OH!

Catching up from the Topic of the Day the other day...

"The Cook, The Thief, The Wife and Her Lover"
"The Brown Bunny" - Which is actually a boring "controversial" movie, imho.

And as for the Topic of the Day today....

The only one that comes to mind right now - at least to my mind - is "Clash of the Titans".  Oh, and I guess "Xanadu".  Although, neither film really fits the bill proper.

Greetings all,

It's been a very busy and tiring week. I slept until 10am this morning, something I rarely do. Now I must eat breakfast and attend to many errands, including seeing Milk later in the day at Chelsea Cinemas (where dreams come true).

Good Morning, DR Ben - What showing of "Milk" are you going to?  I was planning on heading down there to see it too later today.  We could "double".  Well, "single and a half".  ;)

Good morning!

Overcast here this morning which is surprising since clouds weren't supposed to move in until late this afternoon. And it's cold: another day staying in the 40s. So, a nice day to stay inside.

OY!  As if I hadn't done enough crying over the past few weeks...  -Good cries, so...

The STORY: BWW TV: When Lin-Manuel Met Nicholas 'IN THE HEIGHTS'*
*Written in part by our very own DR CraigBrockman, son of our very own DR ArnoldMBrockman.

The VIDEO: IN THE HEIGHTS... DREAMS COME TRUE*
The video features the finale of the show, so consider this a partial spoiler.  But it's still worth watching, regardless.

I'll have the afternoon free to watch more BONES episodes, and then tonight I'll be working on the last review disc in my pile: AMERICAN TEEN. There are some bonus features on the disc, but I have no idea how extensive they are. I guess I'll find out later today.

I mentioned MYRA BRECKINRIDGE the other day that happens to fit today's bad film/guilty pleasure topic. I also like AIRPORT 1975. AIRPLANE 2 is a fairly wretched sequel that I still find some amusing things in. Another would be BURNT OFFERINGS.

I'm liking the new subway ads...

A Wink to Theatergoers, and Nods to Broadway

The rest of the ads are in an accompanying slide show.

OK... Now I think I'll get ready to head out for the day.  There were just a couple of things I needed/wanted to take care of on/via the internet - that were not Facebook or Twitter related - and now that those things are taken care of...  *And since we're expecting snow tomorrow - well, at least a good dusting - I believe tomorrow will become my cleaning and organizing and FINDING MY KEYS day!  -Snowfall usually puts me into a Domestic-Overdrive!

Laters...

Suddenly today it is snowing a LOT - more already on the ground than was predicted for the entire day....and still it comes.  Lovely big flakes....more fun to watch at home than at work...

A few customers have ventured out....so we shall see what the day  brings.

Merlin the Magick Cat is sitting on my lap.  This week I plan to buy him one of those HEAT STORING pads that DR CILLA LIZ was showing us last week.  I am sure he will enjoy it very much.

Ever Ready size C batteries cost $5.79 for a two pack at the convenience store....just so you know.

I guess the movie remake of BREATHLESS with Mr Richard Gere might also be one of my choices for TOD.

It's officially official now (we kind of knew but got confirmation in this morning's paper):  tomorrow's TAR finale is in little ol' PDX.

I like The Swarm.  And I enjoy other turkeys like Raise The Titanic.  I'll think of others, too.

I like RAISE THE TITANIC, but only because I have read the book enough times that I can fill-in the missing plot points.
