Well, you've read the notes, the notes were breathless, and now it is time for you to post until the breathless cows come home.

The Swarm was something of a very guilty pleasure, IIRC.

I like The Swarm.  And I enjoy other turkeys like Raise The Titanic.  I'll think of others, too.

I hate to be the one to tell them this, but terrible shows DON'T get better over time.

I'm really up now.  momentary internet checking in the middle of the night, in part because I had gotten to sleep early (for me) and then wondered if an email form some people had come in.  The one I was looking for hadn't, but sometimes lovely emails come in at 2 in the morning NY time, and I was glad we didn't wait until morning to get this particular one.

I hope the post that i removed the other day, which was taken down, was taken down before it really offended anyone.  It may have remained in a quote, but it was intended to have been taken back.  Sometimes we (meaning I in this case) take something personally even when the intention was never a personal affront.

I'm often taken aback if I consider something an affront.  And in this case, I now surely know it was nothing personal towards me or anyone here.

Good morning, all! In about 15 minutes I shall call a car service and tote this computer down to Tekserve. After that, a brief stop at Toyland to pack up some things for shipment to Ohio. Then I shall get to the East Village and catch this Indian film DOSTANA that DR MBarnum is contnually bugging me about seeing.  After that, I actually get to come home for a brief stretch bwefore heading out to see WHITE CHRISTMAS with my drummer friend Chris.  It's a full day, and tomorrow I'm sleeping in.

So... I think I'm going to get my day started, and maybe even head down to Times Square to catch the 10:00am showing of "Milk" since I have free AMC MovieWatcher passes to use up. And since I haven't been to MoMA in over two weeks, well... We shall see where the day takes me.

Spoo! I just learned that Tekserve opens at 10 this morning, so I have an hour and 15 minutes before I call the car service.

Last night, I repainted my small chest of drawers so that I can use it as a nightstand, and it looks quite spick and span. The newly assembled chest looks quite wonderful, too, I must say. My apartment actually looks civilized these days. On his next visit, DR MBarnum will think he's on the wrong fire escape.

I know a lot of people (me included) were very upset with what they decided to do to jim.  But the people involved said to wait and see and that fans would not be disappointed. And i didn't really believe them. But after watching a few of the shows i do agree. The show is now must see tv and i race to watch it. The whole thing with jim/sam/melinda is very interesting. But i will say that one big thing that the show did was to make Camryn Manheim part of the "in" team.  The first season we had melinda's friend that worked at the store. And then we had jay mohr. But i always thought they wasted camryn Manheim. But the last few weeks it's like her character has finally developed. I think this is where the character needs to be. WE need for melinda to have a confidente. It's okay to have eli. But she needs to have the camryn manheim character there by her side. It's especially moving re: the whole jim/sam thing.
One other thing re: last night's show in particular. It's always sort of bugged me how the ghosts can be pure evil in the beginning. And by the end of the show they are sweet as can be. I guess in this case it was a misunderstanding. But i just find it odd how quick they switch. Oh and what ever happened to melinda's brother? Is he gone for good?

Strange that the first opinions I hear of something can affect my expectations. The very first review i read of "Can't Stop The Music" back in the day was very much on the positive side, so i went into it expecting a pleasant little piece of disco fluff - I mean, with Nancy Walker involved, how bad could it be?  I had a nice time, and was surprised that the overall tone of the reviews ended up being so negative.
