Last night, I repainted my small chest of drawers so that I can use it as a nightstand, and it looks quite spick and span. The newly assembled chest looks quite wonderful, too, I must say. My apartment actually looks civilized these days. On his next visit, DR MBarnum will think he's on the wrong fire escape.

 ;D

Will there be photos soon?

Disturbing because of the brown pile of poo he appears to be leaping over?    :)

Michael Flatley, HDH.

Yep, an appropriate pic, what with that swollen head.

And very tiny feet.

Greetings all,

It's been a very busy and tiring week. I slept until 10am this morning, something I rarely do. Now I must eat breakfast and attend to many errands, including seeing Milk later in the day at Chelsea Cinemas (where dreams come true).

Good Morning, DR Ben - What showing of "Milk" are you going to?  I was planning on heading down there to see it too later today.  We could "double".  Well, "single and a half".  ;)

We are seeing the 5:30 show. I'm seeing it with friends since Anthony doesn't want to see the movie. Not that he's anti-Milk or anything but he has little interest in politics and he wants to spend the time working on his Christmas card list. If you decide to wait until 5:30 I'll scan the theatre when we arrive and look for you.

I, on the other hand, remember where I was when I saw the headline in the Minneapolis Star (it was the evening paper before it merged with the Minneapolis Tribune to become the Star-Tribune) in November of 1978. I was doing a show in Saint Paul at the time (we were in rehearsal) and I had gotten off work and was going to go to Brothers Cafeteria for dinner before taking the bus to rehearsal. I stopped into Shinders to buy the paper to read over dinner and there it was, the news that Milk had been shot dead along with Mayor Moscone.

I also know Cleve Jones from my work with the NAMES Project so I expect this movie will bring up many memories.

DR George, thanks.  I’m glad your show went well.

Thank you DRS Jose, FJL, JRand, and TCB.

It's officially official now (we kind of knew but got confirmation in this morning's paper):  tomorrow's TAR finale is in little ol' PDX.

Wow! They have never come to Oregon before! I am thrilled!

I'm liking the new subway ads...

A Wink to Theatergoers, and Nods to Broadway

The rest of the ads are in an accompanying slide show.

Very funny ads.  I hope they are still laughing if SHREK tanks.

DR Elmore, do enjoy DOSTANA! Just remember Bollywood is fluff...don't expect anything but pure entertainment (and shirtless guys).

Der B and I now have a Blu-Ray player.

We can now watch Wall-E.  We can also watch The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, which we bought because we didn't want Wall-E to be lonely all by itself on the shelf.  Wasn't that nice of us?

OK... Now I think I'll get ready to head out for the day.  There were just a couple of things I needed/wanted to take care of on/via the internet - that were not Facebook or Twitter related - and now that those things are taken care of...  *And since we're expecting snow tomorrow - well, at least a good dusting - I believe tomorrow will become my cleaning and organizing and FINDING MY KEYS day!  -Snowfall usually puts me into a Domestic-Overdrive!

Laters...

Isn't that the title of "she of the Evil Eye's" new memoir?

Wouldn't it be great if JMK was responsible for tripping the winning team just before they reach the Finish line?

Yesterday the hospital called me at 8:15 while I was in th3 radiation unit (in the same hospital) to be sure I was not late for my scheduled 9:15 checkin time ... the radiation people made sure I was done and out by 8:45

By 9 AM I was signed in, changed and in bed with an IV started pending a visit from the anestheologist  and surgeon... and I waited and waited
