Here is the finished product (Although it's too dark to see, the new Sony Blu-ray is included in the components on the second shelf). You can click on the photo tag to see the picture at a larger size:

Congrats on your TV stand replacement!  That's very similar style to what I have, but mine doesn't have the rounded corners on the edges of the wood (I like the rounded edges on yours better :)).  Here's a blurry picture of mine when I was setting it up:

Photographer Richard Howe captured every street corner in Manhattan, about 11,000 total.

WOW!

And I thought my own personal photographic - and digestive - journal-ing of every bakery in New York City was impressive.

Singer John Pagano, who is Burt Bacharach's vocalist when he tours, gave me his new CD at our benefit (in which he appeared) - it's quite wonderful - all fully orchestrated mostly with charts by the great Pat Williams - beautifully recorded at Capitol Records, and three tracks arranged and conducted by Burt.  I don't know what this thing must have cost, but a lot, I should think.  It's not really on a label, either - he did it on his own, I gather.  It's really nice.

He ought to have a DVD out.  For M.Barnum's sake, of course.

I just uploaded a new photo.

How do I make it larger?

I don't think anyone has figured that out yet. THose of us with larger pictures are using older ones that were already on file with the site.

Unfortunately, any new avatar can only be 65 by 65 pixels. :-\

POSSIBLY GROSS, SO READ WITH CARE!

My doctor discovered that I actually had four MRSA lesions this time, all of them under my arm.  And naturally all of them had to be lanced and drained.  I thought at first that the doctor and his nurse were playing a game of tic tac toe on my armpit, but they promised that they weren't.  The numbing agent has now worn off, and I hurt like Heck.

Oh, and I told my doctor that his partner is a QUACK!

After I told him the story of his partner's diagnosis of my eye as being "pink eye," ther wasn't much he could say.

I think I will watch IT and THE SHUTTERED ROOM tonight and save whatever first run episodes from CBS tonight for when they are rerun in January.

DR Ron Pulliam, do you remember that DVD of LIFE ON MARS you were kind enough to send me on Nov 22? Well, it finally arrived in today's mail! I had been wondering what had happened to it.

DR tomovoz, thank you for the beautiful calendar!

I wondered, recently, if you'd gotten it and figured I may have missed a comment about it.

What was the postage on it???? I know I told the USPS clerk to mail it 1st Class Postage.  It should have gotten there before the next episode of "Life on Mars" aired (or, at least, the night it would have aired).

I'm glad you have it.  You can still see it before the "next" episode airs.

What a trip.

And what are they using to treat you, TCB?

I read an article on this infection just this past weekend.  While it's resistant to most antibiotics, hospitals are supposedly having success with some super-antibiotics in controlling the infections.

Hmmmmmm....I wonder if there is a way to trick the system.  Could he possibly download the (larger) picture into a regular post and then go back and retrieve it from the cache for avatar replacement?

So far, good old-fashioned sulfa drugs are the only thing that they have found that works for me.  Eventually, I will become allergic to sulfa.
