Nick Adam John Ashley and Robert Conrad......you would have had to find three really short leading ladies.

Maybe they wouldn't need any leading ladies.

There must be something terribly wrong with the YouTube servers.  They are reporting that our DR DtM is only 24 years old!       ;)

Hey everyone - Merry Christmas Eve - I'm off to church for what will seem like 24 hours... I'll try and check in, but I'm already behind!

I know we have been requesting a lot of HHW vibes these day, but if you find a few spare ones rattling around in your pocket, could you send them towards my supervisor, Julia?  She is on a three week trip to Guinea with a group from the states, and if you've seen world news today you know that their long time dictator/president died yesterday and now the military is claiming that they are taking over the country.  I'm sure she's safe, but it might be awhile before she can come home.

Vibes for Julia-it sounds a bit scary.

I've been watching & was pleased to know you made it safely over the mountains.  It sounds like you are already enjoying your holiday.  I'm expecting photos of DS Toby's first Christmas.

I really do not like fruitcake at all. Never did as a kid, and it's one thing I never developed a taste for as an adult either.

It certainly would be fun to have a whole slew of Hainsie-Kimlets attend the Tale festive Do.

Have fun, bk!!!!!     :)

The rain has not arrived as yet, but I fear it will be here at some point this evening. It's very gray outside at the moment.

I watched LEVERAGE while I ate lunch. The story wrapped up way too abruptly, not the best writing, I don't think, for this episode. Interesting casting of D.B. Sweeney as the priest and Scott Lowell as the entrepreneur. More traditional casting would have reversed those roles.

I then watched CARTESIUS. Being made for TV, it was split into two parts about 90 minutes each. At first, I was only going to watch the first part this afternoon and then recuperate a bit and watch the second part tonight, but then I changed my mind and just watched them both this afternoon to be done with it.

These biographical studies by Rossellini are very subdued; they're almost like Renaissance paintings with people talking to the backs of people's heads and very studied, stylized movement of actors and camera.

Decartes' theories were so fascinating and revolutionary that the film gains interest just from their being discussed, but it's still a slow slog through molasses to get to the end.

Not only did the UPS man not leave me anything, I didn't get anything from the regular mailman either. SO, what a bummer the day before a mail holiday. No chance of any packages until Friday. Boo!

Well, my afternoon surf is completed, so I'm going to hop off-line now and do some writing before heading downstairs for a full evening of fun viewing.

Spaghetti sauce is simmering on a very low heat.  I, too, am simmering on a very low heat.  Listening to CDs whilst I work away.

Nice and quiet here.  The stockings are hung by the chimney with care.   Will watch some DVD's and then sleep sleep sleep.

Or I might stay up and wait for pictures from the Kimmel Kristmas Eve Karnival.

I am pleased to say that The Little Orange Kitten was adopted less than an hour and a half after adoptions opened.

Sweetbread is baked.  Dinner has been served.  Naps have been taken (Dixie Bell now has decided to join me on my twin bed whenever I nap).  Dishwasher is running.  Kitchen counters are clean.  Bread pans have been washed and are currently drying.  Christmas music is playing through ITunes - a lot produced by BK.  It's raining and miserable outside.  Christmas has almost arrived.

A Trip Through Christmasvillagetown

(it's the last time I'll mention it, I swear!)

(And try to ignore the kid with the uncombed hair.)

That was so cool, Dan!  Thanks for posting it! ;D
