Did [title of show] close?

Yes, it did.

And Jeff Bowen is a cutie.  -Even with his shirt off.

Vibes and prayers for all who need them.  Personally, I think it's about time we cured cancer.

We are fortunate, JMK, that my sister's and Vixmom's are cancers they know how to cure.

I'm finally settled down and watching a motion picture.  I did write today, but mostly I added to what I'd written yesterday, probably about three pages or so.  And actually, I'll finish the first chapter tomorrow, so that's good.

Starting today this is my new favorite song

And it certainly helps to have the song picturized with cute men.

Because he took his shirt off during the show, as did Hunter.

Awww...

Akron's Carousel Dinner Theatre to Close Jan. 4

This news breaks my heart.  I know the people that run that theatre.  I know many people who have worked at the theatre.  And I know some people who were supposed to work there this spring.  :-\

Boy, I guess Facebook's got my number!!!

You can watch the cast of [title of show] at the Gypsy of the Year 2008 benefit HERE.

I think it's a very funny and touching piece.

Jeff Bowen is certainly a handsome young man (who is young enough to be my son).

Or your grandson.

Well, they both contain words, so what good would they have done?

He might have found an alternate - or even a real word - for "picturized."

Well my plans for the weekend have been turned topsy turvy. I had planned to spend the evening stripping wallpaper so I could paint in the morning, take my car in for service in the afternoon, paint again in the evening and spend Sunday working at the office.    Turns out we are going to have freezing drizzle about 7:00 AM turning to snow and getting colder.  Sounds like ice to me.  So, I ran my weekend errands went to the office and boxed up some work.

I was so taken aback by DR MBarnum's ability to invent words that I forgot to mention what a great time I had with Anthony and DR Ben this evening!

I don't exactly know why, but it took me longer to write up SWING VOTE tonight than just about any other DVD or Blu-ray I've dealt with in the past year. Weird.

But glad it's done.

Dinner was at a new Chinese restaurant, and the buffet was just super good. I enjoyed everything I ate, but I stuck this first time with the tried and true. Next time, I'll try some of the other things.

It was nice to see Gregg back from visiting his parents in St. Louis. He seemed glad to be home.

When I went back downstairs, I didn't really feel like a movie, so I watched the last two installments of BROADWAY: THE AMERICAN MUSICAL. Just the kind of shows to settle me in for the evening.

I skimmed today's AS THE WORLD TURNS, and there was nothing of interest, but previews for next week did feature the fellas and the big mouthed Jade who spills the beans about Brian.

Yes, a grand time was had on the Upper West Side. Good food was consumed, good conversation was had, presents were exchanged and it was an all around wonderful experience. Thanks to our dear host Mr. Moore for sparkling conversation, wonderful pecan pie, apple pie and ice cream!

I decided I'd watch a Hitchcock, and as I looked over them on the Hitchcock shelf, I spied THE 39 STEPS which I hadn't watched in quite some time. It's Criterion's last issue of the film. When I started it up, I noticed a documentary on it that dealt with Hitchcock's British period, and I didn't remember ever having seen that feature, so I watched it first.

P.S. Larry looks great. His weight loss continues and he is in good health and spirits. Hooray (I make it sound like he was sick, he's not but he does look very good).

When it was finished, I began THE 39 STEPS, but I only got about an hour into it, so I have the remaining thirty minutes tomorrow. It's a marvelous film, and I think it must be Robert Donat at his most charismatic.

Tomovoz is so kind -- helping the poor unfortunate widows in Africa. We should all be so thoughtful.

Good news from DR LAURA.

Shocking news from DR MATTHEW.

And in other news.....other DRs....

Wow...HHW was a hopping place this First Friday of 2009.

I just watched DOCTOR ATOMIC on PBS and enjoyed it very much, but was pretty much bored and irritated every time the good Doctor's wife or that Indian Woman stepped forward to sing some useless bit of drivel......the scenic elements were most intriguing....even on TELEVISION!!!
