I used to add a splash of milk or water to my scrambling eggs, but eventually just stuck to "plain" eggs. However, I do remember going through a "phase" of sorts where I researched whether it was better to add milk and/or water to scrambled eggs. It was amazing to come across various recipes and theories basically forbidding the addition of either liquid. Eventually, I found that if I gave the eggs a thorough beating/scrambling before I cooked them, and cooked them properly, they came out light and fluffy. No additional "thinner" needed.

*The one trick/hint I did come across was that the eggs should form a nice even "drip/stream" when you pull the fork out of the mixture. And, yes, it is possible to overbeat, over-aerate eggs for basic scrambled eggs.

I've written about six pages today - that may or may not be it, depending on how I feel when I get home from tonight's meeting. These meetings with the planning committee for the charity do tend to go on for quite a while, so I think I'll try to bail after an hour, IF they get to the entertainment portion by then.

My mom likes to beat the egg whites then fold in the yokes I can't remember it she adds water (which is what I always thought of as an omelet) or milk (which to me is scrambled eggs). She says that's a REAL omelet

I was chatting online with some friends in NYC at the time, and they said that they did not cut away at the top of the hour (in NYC). I'm guessing since the 10:00am slot here is taken by "Regis and Kelly" - thus breaking up the four hours of "The Today Show" - they had more concerns about their syndication broadcast deal. -And the news conference did end around 10:05, as it was.

I'm very happy that my cable company finally took HGTV and Food TV in HD off of the special subscription. I wasn't going to pay the extra for them and now I don't have to

Yep, Matt's series pilot got picked up for 13 episodes. He flew right to L.A. after his final performance in South Pacific for some work, but then to Hawaii for some vacation before things kick into full swing. I wonder if he's been watching all those show choir clips on YouTube?

There's a mini-chain in DC of "Cinema and Drafthouses" - where they show movies - usually second-run - and serve food and beer during the movie. However, they have actual tables set up, and with the way the levels are set up, the waiters are hardly ever in your sightlines.

But what DR Druxy described... Hmm... I probably would have walked out too.

I don't know about waiters in the Portland theater/theaters, but the older movies sound right. If we hadn't had Sherlock with us we would have all gone to see CASABLANCA.

Growing up our scrabbled eggs always had a little milk in them. They were fluffy & lightly cooked. Keith prefers his eggs well done & asked me to leave out the milk. I still cook mine light though I rarely add milk anymore. I only use a smidgen of olive oil in the pan, just enough to keep them from sticking. Since I eat a lot of eggs I use the ones from vegie-fed chickens.

Oh... As for the Topic of the Day...

There are a few I remember from my childhood and early teens - bad ones - and I've found that if I actively remember them again, I tend to re-dream them, so...

*There was one recurring dream that actually made me not want to go to sleep since I didn't want to dream it again. It made me dizzy in my dream, and dizzy when I woke up.

Otherwise, I don't think I've ever had a flying dream. I don't think I've ever dreamt that my teeth were falling out. However, I have had bunches of dreams where seemingly random people meet up and embark on some sort of adventure - either extraordinary or mundane.

Oh, and when I have "rehearsal dreams", then that's usually a sign that I should just concentrate more on the good than the bad.
