I noticed you are considering LACC as a venue for TFNM.

To much of the public, LACC=My Tax Dollars; have you considered the onslaught of Righteous Indignation from many of the Church Groups at the idea of their educational tax dollars supporting Porn, regardless of how tastefully presented?

Sometimes an over-reach of freedom of artistic expression results in a backlash that results in diminished support for the sponsoring organization.

OK... Time for me to finish getting ready here for my trip up north. I was able to arrange to have dinner with a dear, dear friend from high school tonight - I am soooo excited about that.  And then after that, I shall be heading to Good Stuff Eatery in DC for a "Top Chef" viewing and Twittering session with Spike from Season 4 of "Top Chef". Good Stuff Eatery is Spike's new burger joint.  *And I find it very interesting that Richard Blais - who may be familiar to DR Edisaurus - also opened a burger joint, "Flip", in his old stomping grounds of Atlanta post-"Top Chef", and he's currently scouting for a second location.

That's very close to us! We will have to put it on our agenda!

And besides featuring some truly gourmet burgers, one of his "gimmicks" are milkshakes made on the spot using liquid nitrogen.  "Flip" actually just received and almost out and out rave in one of the Atlanta papers.

Which brings to mind one of DS Zach's favorite jokes:

What does DNA stand for?
National Dyslexic Association.

Which brings to mind a similar joke:

-I have "C.D.O."
"C.D.O"? What's that?
-A true case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

What's the difference between a viola and a coffin?
The coffin has the dead person on the inside.

And they are replaying the last 3 episodes of LOST before the premiere. i am definitely going to record this because truthfully without looking it up i have no idea what happened at the end of last season.

Since I reviewed the Blu-ray edition of Season 4 last month, I won't need to watch this, but if I hadn't, I would definitely have needed a refresher on all of the events squeezed into those last three hours of last season. When I watched it for review purposes, I couldn't believe how much I had forgotten.

I will watch it although televisionwithoutpity has really detailed recaps. So i could have done that too.

And there are some great five-minute season recaps available on iTunes for FREE!

That's a good question.

The other reruns always had pop-ups. But i have not seen any promos saying they would do the pop-ups this time. But i hope they do.

For some reason, I seem to remember an article in the NY Times when they aired the first "pop-up episodes", that the pop-ups were being put together by a "third party".  ???  -And because of that, the pop-ups were not fully owned by ABC, nor the creators of "Lost" - which would also explain why they don't appear on the DVD versions.  -And, again, my whole memory of this may be faulty, but I do remember that ABC intentionally borrowed the "pop-up" concept from VH-1.

I'm not bk, but...

Have you seen what's a "typical" university/college - public, or otherwise - theater season looks like lately?  I'm pretty sure that in the not-so-larger scheme of things that TFNM is tame.  Heck, works by Charles Mee, Brad Fraser and other could-be-controversial playwrights are presented all the time by college theatre departments.  I mean Equus has become a staple on the college theatre circuit.  Nudity is nothing new on a college theatre stage.  Even at Virginia Commonwealth University - a State School - I not only MD'd a production of Assassins, but I also helmed an original music that had a character with an six-foot long penis!

*Alas, anything that might be construed as "anti-religion" is a different story.  The Laramie Project, anyone?

You lost me at "PORN."  If you don't know the difference between The First Nudie Musical and PORN I'm not sure how to help you understand.  However, that's what we're going through right now - the department, which has done many plays with nudity, is checking to make sure no one is going to have a problem with the nudity in our show - since it's not sexual at all, I'm hoping they won't.  IF they do, then I suppose we won't be doing the show for the LA Festival of New Musicals.

No matter where we do the show, I'm sure some group or other will have something to say about it, just as they did with the film, despite its R rating (not X).  Today, our little film, which has been ripped off so many times, would probably be rated PG13.
