Yes, DR JEANNE - DR JANE had posted that some time ago she used to be able to take Echo to the library with her....but the policy had changed....

DR td,

Some regular DVDs I've noticed are VERY good up-converted:

HELLO, DOLLY!, DOCTOR DOLITTLE, THE KING & I, FLOWER DRUM SONG, THE FIFTH ELEMENT, STARGATE, (surprisingly) the later Charlie Chan films from Fox, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS, CASABLANCA, GOLDENEYE (or any of the James Bond Ultimate Edition releases), STAR WARS IV and V, V FOR VENDETTA, GYPSY, FUNNY FACE, SUNSET BOULEVARD.

Thank you for the suggestions; funny, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN and MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS were at the  top of my list.

I watched two episodes, including "The Constant," from LOST's 4th season last night. . .not only am I upconverted, I've been converted.  ;)

Everyone knows Burns & Allen routines - DON'T THEY? - still my favorite is Gracie at the Department Store on the Returns line.
Bernadette Peters did it with George Burns on one of his specials and it still held up.

What State Department would one contact to add a name to an existing property deed?

Well, first you contact the MacBeths....       ;)

Call me for the phone number. I think I may still have it.  Of course, they'll make sure it's their names on the deed.

TOD:

Bk, how long is the long jog in minutes?
Bk, how long is the long jog in distance?

(you have probably mentioned this during my times of E and T, so excuse the repeat if that is the case)

JR, if it's like Oregon, deeds are recorded with the County, not the State.

For much of New York, deeds are recorded in the Book of Life.

Here it would be with the County Recorder's Ofiice

Reportedly from the recent Sondheim/Frank Rich "interview" at Avery Fisher Hall:

[regarding "Green Grow the Lilacs" and "Oklahoma"]

Sondheim:  " 'Green Grow The Lilacs' is a very bleak play about homosexuality. Would you get that from 'Oklahoma!'? I don't think so."
Frank Rich: "From some productions!"

Oh, and good morning!  It's slightly overcast here today.  I watered the plants on the patio yesterday, si that means it will most likely rain.

Did you see The Daily Show last night?  They did a hilarious riff on the hat, ending with Maya Angelou dressed up like a big Christmas present.

I also thought the side-by-side comparison of various sound bites from speeches made by (now-former) President Bush and (not-yet) President Obama quite entertaining and enlightening.

Did they send DR TCB to hospital after performance?

They were going to, but then they realized that they really couldn't tell any difference between before and after, so they decided he was OK after all.

When questioned, the 81 year old actor's wife stated, "I don't understand--I'm the prop mistress on this production and I prepared that gun myself.  I have no idea how anything like that could have happened.  Now if you'll excuse me, I have to make sure this radio is in place for the bathtub scene."
