Does anybody know anybody over at 20th Century-Fox.  I would like to see THE HIGH POWERED RIFLE, a 1960 Capri Production released by Fox....that has disappeared.

Ice cream is usually helpful when your head needs clearing.

Methinks the birthday boy is a bit rambunctious today.

And it looks good on him!    :)

Hey, Bruce, do you remember a CD called

The Music of Bruce Kimmel

from about 1997? Anthony just found a copy of it at Academy. I don't know how much he paid for it but he got it for me for my birthday! What a coinicidence.

I'm off to the East side and the doctor's appointment. I hope I'm out before the rush hour bus crowds.

Wow DR JMK - that American Weekly went for over $117....was that you?

No, some other Franatic, evidently.  :)  I do have a call in to my vintage newspaper dealer to see if he has one lying around somewhere.

I ended up doing the long jog, just because I needed to think - I have a lot of stuff on my mind right now, including one particular thing that's a little irksome and that I'll have to deal with this week, but it also helps me think in terms of the writing, which I must now buckle down Winsocki and do.

JMK - I was working on a ditty starting with "There's a plaice for us," but gave it the hook because the only direction my mind kept going in was "Hold my rod and we're halfway there" and that seemed vaguely unseemply

It was the middle one.  I have the first and third, and I actually somewhere along the line acquired the first page only of the middle one (the one that just sold).  A long time ago whoever that nice kid was who did the research on the A&E Bio mailed me a really bad Xerox of the third installment, so I have that lying around somewhere, too.  When I die, the kids are going to have their hands full.  :)

"Here comes Maria, and she's gonna eat
Every last mako shark on the whole whacko street"

Once again, unseemly.  And does mako rhyme with whacko?

Just to explain, apparently the lady playing Maria in the West Side Story revival eats mostly fish, per the Wall Street Journal.

We received a kind of upsetting letter from the Freddy's credit card people today saying that our account security had been breached by a "third party retailer," and that all of our credit information had been revealed, so we're getting a new card number and we also should start fraud investigations with all the credit bureaus.  Oy.  I went online and didn't see anything unseemly on our pending charges, thankfully.

I received a similar letter from my bank a few weeks ago which said that my account number falls within a range of numbers that had been breached. They said not every number had been tampered with but for safety sake they were re-issuing new cards with new numbers. They said I would be receiving a new ATM card in the very near future.

I check my accounts every day anyway (thanks to high speed) but now I'm particularly vigilant. Like JMK I haven't yet seen anything untoward (or unseemly).

Freddy's credit card people

Be very careful, DR JMK.   DR MBarnum's cat can be one tough negotiator.
