Yep what a crazy night on tv tonight. Especially with all the NBC shows!

I am most excited about MEDIUM. Yeah! I really hope all those Super Bowl ads might help the ratings (that and being after a new HEROES).

Also CHUCK in 3d (and i found a pair of 3D glasses -yeah!).

I didn't even know about the 3-D glasses (and 3-D episode of CHUCk) until yesterday's commercial that I just happened to see. :-\ I don't know if I can even get some glasses.

Maybe you already have a pair, DR George--do you have a DVD that's in 3-D?  It looked to me like it requires the red/blue type of glasses.

Very strange, DR Matt--the clouds ahve rolled into Philly during the past half hour as well.  I thought this storm was coming up from the south.  These are fast moving clouds!

Did it get colder there, too? Feels like the temp dropped like 15 degrees in the last hour.

I looked around the grocery store for glasses but never saw any display for them. I have red-blue; red-green; and amber 3-D glasses here. One of them should work. If not, I'll have to do without, I guess.

Back from jury duty. I went through the whole choosing the jury process, but was not chosen to be one of the 12 angry men.

Is there any wonder????

It was a long and hellish bus ride: too many moronic high and junior high school kids cramming onto a bus eating MacDonalds fries and burgers, spilling drinks and personal property, and once again forcing the MTA to squeeze 30 lbs of idiocy inro a 20 lb bag.

I had time to watch two of the bonus features: the gag reel and a brief live video recording of Gere playing piano, Marshall playing drums, and Roberts singing at the wrap party.

I had skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Luke was there playing Cupid again, but it wasn't very interesting. Nothing in the previews, of course.

Great news!

TNT has renewed LEVERAGE for a second season of episodes! It's a wonderfully entertaining show, and I'm very appreciative to DR der Brucer for suggesting to me that I sample it.

This is amusing:

I'm the February "Artist of the Month" on The Digital Bits website.

http://www.thedigitalbits.com/artist/0209/aom0209.html

Why is that amusing?

Because I can't draw a straight line...sometimes not even with a ruler.

 :)

Congrats to DR Druxy!!

I have the red/blue glasses at home and it didn't seem to work. :-\ Maybe if I'm sitting right in front of the TV and have all the lights off, it might work.  We'll see.

And finally...

This evening at 7 PM there will be a hymn singing in the park across from the Church . Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.

I don't need a blanket to sin.

I'm jumping off-line now to do some writing and then will head back down to finish PRETTY WOMAN's bonus features, watch last night's special edition of THE OFFICE, and then settle in with some prime-time TV.

JRand58,

I like your theatre's website.  A bit more colourful than ours and easier to navigate.  I think we should make much more use of photos.  We also have a blog site where, until my trip to London, I was putting up my daily words of theatrical wisdom.  It will hopefully resume sometime this week, if I can get my act together.

Jrand58,

Also thanks for the piece on Romans in Britain.  I read the Guardian almost every day.  Don't know how I missed this piece awhile back.

I've written a little over four pages - and now I must be on my way to the work session, after which, I'll return briefly and then be on my way to my working dinner with David Wechter.

My friend Jeff, great nephew of Mr John Dillinger, just won a $400,000 settlement from the Hammond Indiana Museum - he asked them to remove signs that proclaimed John a vicious and unrepentant killer and cold blooded murderer.....

And the signs must be changed or removed.

So, does your friend, Jeff, believe that that was John Dillinger shot down in front of the Biograph Theater...or was it a double?

There's a live web feed from the Surf right now http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20090202/NEWS/90201017

There's nothing going on at the moment, just people starting to mill around. Don't know if they'll show the concert. There are taped interviews made throughout the day
