Best restaurant meal experience would be at the California Grill in Disney World.  (But then I've never experienced the fancy restaurant at the Floridian hotel at Disney World).

TOD:

Within the past few years, it would definitely be a dinner I had at The Homestead in Greenwich, CT.

It has an old money, country inn feel.  Dinner runs up to $150.00 per person, and I don't think that includes wine.  I started with an exquisite split pea soup, followed by beef medallions, and had a molten chocolate souffle for dessert.  Yum!  Oh, and the service was top-notch, also.   :)

Thursday morning greetings!  Another sunny day here in SW Ohio, which makes the snow glisten.  Perfect for errands like grocery shopping and going to the bank to pay off my car.  This evening Richard and I are going to the Miami University campus in Hamilton to hear a lecture about James and Dolley Madison.

Very sad--another police funeral here in Philly at the Cathedral of St Peter and Paul across the street from my office.

TODAY IN THEATRE HISTORY...

It's the 50th anniversary of the opening of REDHEAD at what was then called the 46th Street Theatre.

But what day in Theatre History will be marked as the day that DR Dan (the Man) descended the staircase in the slinky red dress?

We're still trying to find backers for that one...

DR JMK - Inner City is on its way to you....the LP is in two tracks only, but I sent along a track list for each side and typed out the liner notes......

DR MATTHEW if you PM your snail mail address to DR JMK, I am sure he will send the split track version along to you.

DR ELMORE - at last Miss Dorothy is in the mail to you.  It's a fun album that never STOPS!!!  I also included an album that will take you back to the Empire Room in the Waldorf-Astoria in 1960.  A fine singer, although not in particularly good voice the night the album was recorded....or so it seems.

So put on your tux and pour yourself a martini and enjoy....Gisele MacKenzie at the Empire Room.  She certainly needed MR BK to put her show together, that's for sure.

That is VERY true......but DR JMK is a computer genius and I know he can handle the task.  I sent along the times of the tracks, so that might help.....

Yes, but none of her tuxes are clickable.  And there are no photos of tuxedos draped on wire hangers.

Quote
Gazelles are gentle creatures hunted by the fastest animal on earth, the cheetah. With the cheetah being so fast, you would think the gazelle would be extinct. However they've learned that the cheetah is only the fastest animal on earth while running in a straight line. So when being chased, the gazelle bobs and weaves and runs in circles until the cheetah gets tired and gives up.

It's time to think like a gazelle.

Good morning!

Bitterly cold this morning but it'll warm up slightly today and more into the weekend. Beautiful otherwise.

Many years ago, I had a dear friend who was a caterer, and he wanted to add Oriental cuisine to his customer menu. So, he studied up, did some trial and error, and then invited about six of his closest friends to his home for an Oriental meal. He had decorated his enormous living room into a Japanese tea garden. We were asked to come in Oriental garb.

Needless to say, it was one of the grandest nights of my adult life. The house was a dream in the making, everyone had outdone themselves with outfits (more like costumes), and the eight course meal was to die for.

Unless MADAGASCAR 2 comes in the mail today (drat Dreamworks Animation for always waiting until the last minute to send out review copies; same thing happened with KUNG FU PANDA), I'll start work on FRIDAY THE 13TH - THE SERIES, Season 2. There are six discs in the set, so I expect it will take me a good three days to watch all of the episodes.
