It is a lovely day here in the hinterlands of Florida.

I am again doing laundry. Wash, post, wash, post.

BK would hate the dinner I had last night. I made spaghetti using wheat-free quinoa pasta. It's wasn't the best pasta I've ever had, but it wasn't really awful, either.

Well, maybe you're ahead of MattH - when last heard, he was still sorting.

BK, that is wonderful about the forthcoming Adriana mystery...possibly I will be picking up two books from you when I come to LA in April.

And in somewhat similar news, I have two interviews on magazine racks right now...CLASSIC IMAGES has my interview with kid actor and good friend Scotty Morrow (THE COSMIC MAN; PEYTON PLACE) and in SCARLET:THE FILM MAGAZINE is my interview with kid actor Jimmy Baird (RETURN OF DRACULA; THE 7 LITTLE FOYS).

Jane,

It seems someone outbid you for Keith's birthday present:

Car Found in Garage Sells for $4.4 Million

LONDON (Feb. 7) - AA car abandoned in a garage in Britain for half a century sold at an auction in Paris for about $4.4 million Friday.
The 1937 Bugatti Type 57S went under the hammer at Bonhams' Retromobile car show and sale in Paris. It was sold on behalf of the family of its last owner, Dr Harold Carr.

I just broke the news to him.  He of course is very disappointed I wasn't the top bidder. ;)

Well, there's not much to sort when all you have with you is what will fit in your car.

It has been reported to me that it is very warm outside.  I may just ask Vixdad to take me for a drive.  I am getting a bit of cabin fever

Good morning, all! I slept quite poorly with very peculiar dreams and it was a relief when the alarm went off to drag myself out of bed. My Finale lesson has been moved to tomorrow morning so I think I'll take my walk and settle in for a long day of edits. I still need to defros the refrigerator and I may do that later in the afternoon.

I am very much looking forward to the next Adriana mystery. Has anyone read any of the "Aunt Dimity" series of mysteries? I just heard about them and they sound very strange.

Before my walk, I have to make the bed and tidy up the apartment.

Yes, I think I have read the entire AUNT DIMITY series.  There are a few weak books, but generally they are very enjoyable.

I couldn't find any bad news regarding Tom & Colin's little part of the big world.  I hope they are ok.

Thank you, DR Jane.  It was just one of those horrible nights when nothing I did worked.  I guess I will have to wait for Thursday and Friday for the bad news.

In other news...

I really do hope that our friends and their neighbors in Upper Beaconsfield, Victoria, Australia are in the midst of a good night's sleep right now, and not on fire watch.

DR TCB - Just don't read the reviews. ;)

And, who knows? Maybe you actually ended up "fooling" the reviewer this time. ;)

The reviewers I have stopped caring about, but there were people last night who flew in from Texas to see the show, as well as a lot of Tacoma friends; so I was just very disappointed in myself.

Yep, he's dreamy. ::)

*I also liked him in "Failure to Launch". -Matthew McConnaugh-Who? ;)

**And Justin Bartha is adorable in that movie too. -Which I guess makes up for having to see Terry Bradshaw's bare ass.

Since the Grammy Awards are tonight, do we think the revival cast album of SOUTH PACIFIC will win in the Show Music category?

I hope so! I voted for it.

Yes, it is quite lovely outside today. My walk up Riverside Drive was quite delightful and the view of the Hudson was clear and bright and beautiful. I walked up to 100th Street and down West End Avenue. I stopped at the market, came back, defrosted the fridge, and began chicken soup.  Everything's boiling away, and the apartment smells wonderful, like a Jewish grandmother's kitchen.

Ive been listening to the 1986 premiere performance of my restoration of JUBILEE and I wish Encores! would do it. The role of Karen O'Kane, based on Ginger Rogers, who sings "Begin the Beguine" and "Just One Of Those Things" is a perfect role for Kristen Chenowith. And, if encores! did it, perhaps we'd finally get a commercial recording of the show.
