Did the long jog, printed pages, Xeroxed, delivered pages and am now waiting outside a store, which is just about to open.

LONG JOG SILVER - that should be the name of something, maybe a jogging club for the Silver Citizens?

Vixdad drove me to the Sunken Meadow Beach on the north shore of Long Island.  We walked down to the boardwalk and looked at the sea for a while.  Very beautiful but windy so back in the car we went,

Then we just drove through some of the nicer neighbohoods on the north shore of Long Island for a littel bit.   It was nice to get out of the house

It is a beautiful sunny day.  All the snow and ice on our lawn has melted. I hear the temps are due to go back down again tonight and all next week.  Oh well.

That was very sweet of vixdad to take you out for a while. It's good to have a nice day among the bad so you have something to look forward to when the winter passes along with your pains and travails.

DR TCB - Just don't read the reviews. ;)

And, who knows? Maybe you actually ended up "fooling" the reviewer this time. ;)

Triple sorry.

The reviewers I have stopped caring about, but there were people last night who flew in from Texas to see the show, as well as a lot of Tacoma friends; so I was just very disappointed in myself.

Everything's boiling away, and the apartment smells wonderful, like a Jewish grandmother's kitchen.

I wish I knew what that smelled like.  I never had a grandmother.

Back from the store.  Weather can't make up it's mind.  It was clearing up when I started the long jog - it was totally gray when I got the the three and a half mile mark and it drizzled the rest of the way.  Then the sun came out, then it was gray, now it's half and half.

I shall now eat some melon balls and watch a motion picture on DVD.  Then I might start organizing the information to write the notes for the new Kritzerland release.

DR DRUXY was Miss Frances Farmer a topic of conversation in the theatre department at the University of Washington?

Never.  I was there in the late 1950s-early 1960s.  She was long gone.

Glenn Hughes was still head of the Drama Dept. while I was there.

Did he still stand around with one hand in his suit jacket pocket?   ;D

I, not being a Jew, only know about Jewish grandmother's kitchens from what I read. And in BK's Benjamin Kritzer books, the Jewish grandmother's kitchen smelled of canned salmon and something else -- vinegar?

Well, don't beat yourself up too much, DR TCB. It happens to us all at one time or another. On the night when the greatest number of friends I ever had come see me in a show, I had the HARDEST time with my lines when I did TWELVE ANGRY MEN. I loved the show so much and my part was perfect for me. Every OTHER performance was smooth as silk, but NOT that night.

I began my afternoon viewing with WEdnesday night's DAMAGES while I ate lunch. Very provocative episode with so many people spying and mistrusting everyone, it's just mind-boggling.

Then, I finished the 2 1/2 episodes I had left to watch. DR Jose, the episode about occult possession of Ryan was the season finale. I don't think there is a story arc because I think when the next season starts, Ryan is gone.

My favorite of the episodes today was one concerning a leather bomber jacket owned by a Japanese kamikaze pilot. If the wearer smeared blood from a fresh kill on it, it would make the person invisible. I prisoner was using it to enter and leave prison. A really interesting episode, not scary so much as suspenseful.

Next, I watched Wednesday night's LIFE ON MARS. Pretty good episode if not much of a mystery, and with a slightly different manner of storytelling which at least made the first half hour different.

Thank you BK, Jennifer, Uncle Jo Jo, Debbie, Fred, Door, Laura, Jane, Anna,  and indeed all of you in Kritzerland etc.  (even that actor guy with a friend in Wien)

We are awake and safe.   Unfortunately so many are not.

I ended my afternoon watching Thursday night's 30 ROCK. It was the best episode of the season. Jon Hamm guest starred as Liz's neighbor who she tries to trick to fall for her. He's SO adorable. The "b" story had to do with Alec Baldwin played dual roles: as Jack and as the star (gay in real life) of a Spanish telenovella series. It too was very funny. And the "c" story was OK with Tracy hanging out with some Wall Street types hired by NBC as assistants because they can't get jobs on Wall Street any more.

I have the first of two episodes of THE STARTER WIFE cued up to watch when I go back down. I'll get to have the night to myself and hopefully will clear off much of what's been saved on the DVR.
